Description

General purpose motors with aluminum housing, IP66 protection and C4 painting system are suitable for a wide range of standard drive tasks in industrial environments and humid atmospheres. The design and architecture of the motors ensure maximum flexibility and minimum installation effort. Due to their particularly low weight, they are predestined for applications in pumps, fans and compressors. SIMOTICS GP standard motors In addition to converter-capable line motors, two converter-optimized motor lines are available for variable-speed converter operation. For converter optimized motors you can quickly put your SIMOTICS GP motors into operation by means of a motor code for predefined converter parameters. Grid-optimized motors The proven SIMOTICS GP are optimized for line operation, and are available with efficiency classes up to IE4. All motors have the same power-shaft height assignment. As a consequence, there are no shaft height differences, making it easy to service or replace motors. Due to the same power-shaft height assignment across all efficiency classes, migration to more efficient motors is very easy. Grid-optimized motors can be also operated with converters. Converter-optimized motors (Variable Speed Drive motors) The SIMOTICS GP VSD motors are based on the platform of the SIMOTICS GP motor series. The design corresponds to the line motors – the mechanical parts are identical. The motors are adapted to the converter by appropriately dimensioning the active part and VSD-specific rating plate data.
