SikaPower®-2900 Primer Adhesion promoter for SikaPower® Plastic Repair Products SikaPower®-2900 Primer is a solvent-based colorless adhesion promoter to improve adhesion for SikaPower®-2900 series products. It is specifically formulated for the treatment of bond faces prior to application of SikaPower® Plastic Repair adhesives. - Easy spray application - Fast drying - Improves adhesion on a wide variety of plastic substrates PRODUCT BENEFITS - Easy spray application - Fast drying - Improves adhesion on a wide variety of plastic substrates Areas of Application SikaPower®-2900 Primer is used to improve adhesion on a broad range of different plastic substrates. Seek manufacturer’s advice and perform tests on original substrates before using SikaPower®-2900 Primer on materials prone to stress cracking. This product is suitable for experienced professional users only. Tests with actual substrates and conditions have to be performed to ensure adhesion and material compatibility. Preparation Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease, oil, dust and contaminants. Application Use the aerosol can and apply the primer in a thin and even coat to the surface in short bursts to avoid dripping or running of the primer. Ideal application and surface temperature is between 15 °C and 25 °C. SikaPower®-2900 Primer has to be applied once only. If pre-treated area is not bonded within the maximum flash-off time, the activation process has to be repeated (once only). Consumption and method of application depends on the specific nature of the substrates.
