Stäger creates packaging solutions with almost no barriers to technical design possibilities through the combination of a wide spectrum of materials such as carton, plastic and metal. Our latest innovation is a hybrid tube made out of fresh carton/cellulose and transparent Recyclear PET. The hybrid tube can be made up of one or more parts, with a lid and base made of tinplate (white metal), injection molding or plastic (mostly recycled PET). Combinations are of course also possible for transparent folding trays, lids & bases and cut-outs. The focus is always on a recycling-friendly design that can be easily separated from different materials. Surface finishing techniques such as offset and screen-printing complemented by matt or glossy lacquer and hot foil, blind and relief embossing as well as cold foil laminating are technically feasible. The semi transparent hybrid tube presents the contents of the package in an unprecedented fashion. The hybrid tube made out of carton is a real alternative to the conventional spiral carton tube: lighter, more attractive and less expensive!
