Product overviewCeraCharge is a rechargeable multilayer ceramic chip based on multilayer technology similar to MLCCs and using a solid ceramic electrolyte (no liquid electrolyte). It is intended for use as a compact, intrinsically safe, long‑life energy storage device for ultra-low-power applications such as IoT devices and energy harvesting systems.
Key application examples- IoT devices (e.g. smart meters, PLCs, smart home sensors, real-time clocks)
- Bluetooth beacons (BLE)
- Wearable devices
- Systems for energy harvesting
Benefits & features- Compact: EIA 1812 case size (suitable for SMD assembly).
- Temperature: Wide operating temperature range from -20 °C to +80 °C.
- High performance: Designed for long service life and >1000 recharging cycles under typical conditions.
- Cost-effective: Easy placement and processing using standard reflow soldering techniques.
- Secure / intrinsically safe: Solid ceramic electrolyte eliminates risks associated with liquid electrolytes (no leakage, no fire/explosion risk due to liquid electrolyte).
