Description

RFID reader and writer EPC Class1 Gen2 USB interface Embedded antenna 3 LEDs + multitone beeper Proximity sensor IceKey UHF is a desktop RFID reader, small in size, able to read and write UHF tags and transmit the acquired data to any device with a USB interface. The maximum reading distance is 120 cm for UHF far field tags. These performances are obtained using the antenna integrated in the RFID reader. Alternatively, using the UHF IceKey version equipped with the SMA RF connector, it is possible to connect an external antenna, with the aim of obtaining greater reading distances, or of being able to integrate the RFID reader in mechanically particular applications, or of being able to read near filed micro UHF tags. The use of IceKey UHF is easy and intuitive thanks to the automatic activation of the UHF tag scanning (1) and to the presence of two LEDs and a multitone beeper, to alert the operator of the reading. IceKey UHF is powered via the USB interface, the same interface used to communicate with the main desktop or portable devices equipped with the Windows, Linux and Mac OS operating system. Data transmission takes place in virtual serial mode, a two-way channel. A simple serial communication protocol, present on all TERTIUM Technology products, allows to manage all the RFID reader functions, in particular the ID scan and the reading / writing of the UHF tag memory (2).
