Description
Alumina Silica Tape: available in 25mm and 50mm widths, ASIL-TEX is a composite fibre of 72% alumina and 28% silica and is generically known as Alumina Silica Fibre. The product/yarns are produced as a 7 micron diameter filament and are born free.
ASIL-TEX suffers almost no loss of mechanical strength at temperatures up to 1200°C and can be used for applications approaching 1395°C. It is available for sale in 1m lengths.
