Supersil E Glass Sleeves: our Supersil E Glass sleeves with velcro have the same characteristics as the Supersil E Glass Cloth, but thanks to the practical use of fire retardant Velcro®, it is the ideal solution for protecting hoses or electrical cables that are already in operation and for replacing protective sheathing that had already been fitted and has worn with use.
The Supersil E Glass Cloth that the sleeve is manufactured from is a high density E glass fibre cloth coated with a layer of red silicone rubber that is resistant to high temperatures. Thanks to its particularly resistant structure, it represents the ideal solution when protective guards need to be set up in welding centres or when parts of machinery need to be protected from molten metal splash or from casting slag.
E glass cloth is able to withstand a continuous temperature of 550°C. The special silicone rubber external coating withstands a continuously temperature of 260°C without any difficulty. The smooth surface has been designed so that molten metal splash up to a temperature of 1640°C, slides off before it can seriously damage the material.
The cloth is available with single or double sided coating.
