Tenax™ Chopped Fibers are suitable for low- and high-temperature thermoplastic compounding processes and master batch pre-blends. Available in lengths from 3 mm to 25 mm, the fibers provide increased mechanical strength with weight reductions. Tenax™ Chopped Fibers enhance the electrical properties for ESD or full conductive applications, including for adhesives, resin systems, coatings, and specialty paper. Tenax™ C-Series Chopped Fibers Pillared-shaped types, featuring a bundled structure in compliance with the cut length. Tenax™ P-Series Chopped Fibers Rice-shaped types, manufactured from filament yarn cut in 3 mm lengths, with a unique pellet shape for improved feeding in manufacturing processes. Both the C-Series and P-Series provide superior dispersion in compounds and are ideal for manufacturing using automatic feeding operations, including volumetric, gravimetric, vibrating tray and screw feeding in thermoplastic compounding operations. Tenax™ Chopped Fibers can be used for a wide range of applications, such as the gas diffusion layer in fuel cells, cement or concrete reinforcement, electromagnetic shielding, and other applications where enhanced chemical resistance is required.
