It cures to a smart mid-gloss finish to enhance the look of your premises. All you need to do is ensure the area to be coated is clean, dry and free from grease. Recommended areas of use Warehouses Showrooms Walk-in fridges Exterior car parking areas Features Protects coloured and decorative coatings from heavy wear and tear Can be applied at temperatures ranging from -10°C to +30°C Excellent chemical resistance, thus enhancing workplace safety Suitable for internal and external use Externally it will resist chalking, fading, weathering and has exceptional resistance to UV Application Substrates Protecta-Coat can be used over most existing paint coatings, although a sample area should be tested first if in doubt. Protecta-Coat will also cope with slight movement in an existing coating, and is therefore fine to overcoat asphalt coatings and areas around vibrating machinery for instance. Surface preparation Floor temperature must be above -10°C and dry. Existing floor paint finishes must be sound and grease and oil should be removed with Watco Bio-D (or similar emulsifying degreasant). It is important that this is thoroughly washed off and the floor is allowed to dry. A good sweep or mechanical brushing is generally regarded as sufficient in these circumstances. If applying outside do not apply when rain is forecast.
