Liquid passivant for AISI 300 series stainless steel. After decontaminating the artefact from possible pollutants, the stainless steel remains without any protection and therefore exposed to aggressive external attacks. Passivation makes it possible to restore the surface chromium oxide layer that had been impoverished or polluted by processing. Passivation is essential in order to guarantee the stainless steel. WE PASS 30 L is a liquid product appropriately formulated for the passivation of austenitic stainless steels (AISI 300 series). Through its action, the entire surface will be passivated. In order to achieve uniformity and effectiveness of the treatment, the artefacts should be degreased/ decontaminated and pickled prior to treatment. For a perfect and correct passivation treatment it is necessary that the artefacts are previously degreased and pickled. To keep the pickling bath in perfect efficiency, we recommend that our Technical Directorate periodically perform the control analyses and make the recommended corrections. WE PASS 30 L does not matte shiny or satin surfaces.
