Designed to work effectively on a wide variety of sites, the SV100-2PB combines power, versatility, manoeuvrability, comfort and reliability with surprising compactness. It also offers easy maintenance. A two-piece articulated boom, normally only seen on heavy excavators, greatly facilitates lifting, moving and placing loads, with lifting capacity increased by 45% in some instances. A single top-mounted articulation cylinder offers total protection and divides dead weight by half, as well as greatly reducing total cost of ownership.
COMPACTNESS
Weighing in at 10,360 kg, the SV100-2PB combines high performance with surprising compactness, closing the gap between mini and large excavators. Its length is 6,730 mm and its width just 2,320 mm. Just as importantly, it has a short swing of only 170 mm. Its minimum turning radius measures 3,440 mm. Measurements like these make it particularly suited for work in urban areas, with no need for blocking two lanes of traffic when one will suffice.
TWO PIECE ARTICULATED BOOM
This type of configuration originates from heavy wheeled excavators and greatly facilitates lifting, moving and placing loads. The added articulation also improves manoeuvrability and precision load placing, and enables load chart improvement of as much as 45% in some areas. Yet the additional weight due to the articulated boom configuration has been limited to 845 kg, all contributing to the outstanding lifting ability and break-out force under high working pressure of this design.
We decided to use a single top-mounted articulation cylinder as this offers significant benefits, including total protection of the cylinder rod against damage.
