A powerhouse of technology and innovation, the ViO80-1 offers the performance of a large excavator along with the benefits of a compact excavator. Particularly suited for work in urban areas, it can operate with confidence and efficiency along walls and in confined spaces where other machines in its weight class cannot go, yet still provides all-day comfort for operators. The Yanmar VICTAS® system helps ensure stability, while improved hydraulics and electronic engine controls deliver precision performance. COMPACTNESS The ViO80-1 is a true zero tail swing midi excavator, with neither the counterweight nor the front part of the upper frame projecting beyond the track width. Even in confined spaces it delivers a smooth swing and can operate efficiently along walls, its rear-swing radius measuring just 1,135 mm. With the rear blind spot reduced to a minimum and an array of safety features, it ensures that both the operator and other on-site workers can do their job without worrying about their safety. OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE The breakout forces of 63.5 kN (bucket) and 40.8 kN (arm) are exceptional for an eight-ton excavator with zero tail swing. With a digging depth of 4,130 mm (or 3,780 mm for vertical walls) and excellent traction force, they allow the ViO80-1 to carry out major tasks. These include excavation and clearing operations for large areas, or laying pipes. A wide range of optional equipment for further increasing performance and versatility includes steel crawlers and an additional 400 kg counterweight.
