Description

The submerged arc welding wire is one of the welding materials and is used for the welding of carbon steel with lower strength and lower alloy steel. The welding material is a combination of welding wire and flux. When submerged arc welding, the weld composition and performance are determined by the combination of welding wire and flux. The choice of submerged arc welding wire should take into account the influence of the flux composition and the influence of the composition of the parent metal. In order to achieve the required weld metal composition, a flux (melting flux) may be used in combination with several welding wires. A wire can also be used in combination with several fluxes (sintered flux).
