Who we are - DM Powered Stair Climbers

The DM Division "DM Powered Stair Climbers" represents the heart of the innovation of D.M. Srl in the sector of handling on stairs. For years we have been designing and manufacturing technological solutions that can combine safety, ergonomics and performance, concretely improving the quality of the work of operators and the daily mobility of those who need to overcome architectural barriers.

Our catalog is divided into two main lines:

Powered Cargo Stair Climbers: designed for the safe transport of household appliances, machinery, stems, crates, windows and bulky materials. Thanks to the strap systems or leverage bars, they allow you to face ramps and stairs with stability, drastically reducing the physical effort required of the operator.

Wheelchair Electric Stair Climbers: CE certified devices as Class I medical devices (pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2017/745, designed to ensure mobility and assistance to people with motor difficulties, allowing the overcoming of the stairs in total safety, with the support of an operator.

Why choose a Powered Stair Climber:

Manual transport of heavy loads, as well as being tiring and not very efficient, it involves serious risks to the health of the operator.

According to European directive 90/269/EEC and Legislative Decree 81/2008 (Consolidated Law on Work Safety), the manual weight lifting is subject to precise limits:

25 kg for men (in optimal conditions (i.e. without curving or rotating the back)
15kg for women (in optimal conditions (i.e. without curving or rotating the back)
15kg for male teenagers (in optimal conditions (i.e. without curving or rotating the back)
10kg for female teenagers (in optimal conditions (i.e. without curving or rotating the back)

Overcome these limits can cause muscle pathologies, including hernias, low back pain and joint damage.

Our Powered Stair Climbers cancel these risks, because:

- eliminate the need for direct lifting, transferring the effort to the electric motor;
- they guarantee stability and safety on ramps, seedling and steps, even with voluminous loads;
- they increase productivity, reducing transport times;
- they preserve the health of the operator, in line with the European regulations on manual handling of loads.
