Who we are

innogy generates, for example, energy from renewable sources and ensures that it gets to your home. We build intelligent networks. And we offer innovative energy services, in fields such as storage technologies, electromobility and energy efficiency.
Our company is Germany’s leading energy company, with a revenue of around €36 billion (2018), more than 42,000 employees and activities in 15 countries across Europe. With its three business segments Grid & Infrastructure, Retail and Renewables, innogy addresses the requirements of a modern, decarbonised, decentralised and digital energy world.

Our activities focus on its around 22 million customers, and on offering them innovative and sustainable products and services which enable them to use energy more efficiently and improve their quality of life. The key markets are Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Belgium, as well as several countries in Central Eastern and South Eastern Europe, especially the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland.

With our monitoring system bit.B we offer a radio-based technology that gathers and analyses data. This way it detects important potential savings in your business. For this purpose sensors collect energy, production or quality values, for example at the electricity meter, the light barrier, on a specific machine or in the sub-distribution. Currently, we supply reliable, reasonably priced energy to around 15.5 million electricity customers and 6.2 million gas customers in 10 European markets. We are always at the forefront with the development of smart products and services.

Our multifaceted monitoring system bit.B measures and visualises data on energy, production and quality – wireless and flexible – for companies of various industries and sizes. The measured data is accessible via an online-monitor. 

The data gives you added transparency about your business processes and the chance to derive optimisation potentials. The system can be installed during ongoing operations and is based on a wireless radio solution, easy to retrofit.
