M.G.M. Motori Elettrici S.p.A. was founded in 1947. Right from the start the company specialised in the production of electrical brake motors, becoming one of the leader companies in this industry. In Italy M.G.M. Motori Elettrici has the main production plant in Serravalle Pistoiese and a warehouse with sales offices in Assago (Milan). In North America, M.G.M. Motori Elettrici is present in Montreal (Canada) and in Detroit (USA). M.G.M. Motori Elettrici is present also in Chennai with a plant for India sales, technical support and distribution and in Turkey, in Izmir. Around the world, M.G.M. Motori Elettrici is present in more than 75 Countries with its own structures for sales and assistance. Anywhere in the world, you can hardly see, wear, or use anything which does not have at least one component produced by an M.G.M. Motori Elettrici brake motor.

For M.G.M. Motori Elettrici S.p.A. sustainable development and respect for the environment have always been veryimportant goals. In the Serravalle Pistoiese plant almost 100% of the electricity consumed is produced bythe photovoltaic panels placed on the roof.

At the beginning of 2024 a further expansion of the power of the photovoltaic system was carried out so as to facilitate the transition of company vehicles from combustion engines to electric engines.

The air conditioning of the building is supported by a geothermal system that allows significant energysavings both during the winter and the summer, by exchanging heat with the ground at a high depth.The company has also worked on the production cycle by operating on the systems, the insulation of thebuildings, the lighting system to achieve a greater energy efficiency.

Important actions were also made to reduce the consumption of drinkable water by resorting the collectionof rainwater and by recycling condensate water that is used for the lubricating and cooling liquids ofmachine tools.

Thanks to the inclusion of drinkable water vending machine it was possible to eliminate the use of plasticwater bottles, which have been conveniently located in the various departments of the plant.The mechanical processing waste is separately collected and delivered to the waste collection centerswhich will send it to the recycling foundries.

The use of separate waste collection has been increasingly promoted. By rethinking and redesing thematerial and the production process, M.G.M. Motori Elettrici has reduced the energy required to make brakemotors with a consequent reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The energy efficiency of themotors and of the brakes has been improved. We preferred using eco-friendly material with lowimpact on the environment and we eliminate the use of plastic by using recycled cardboard.
