Utilizing an Aluminum Oxide sensor 600 times more sensitive than conventional sensors
The 8800 series uses field proven aluminum oxide (Al2O3) sensing technology to accurately detect trace moisture on either a continuous or spot checking basis.
All Al2O3 sensors share the same basic operating principle: the capacitance measured between the sensor's aluminum core and gold film deposited on the oxide layer varies with the water content. However, the Series 8800 moisture sensor employs unique Hyper Thin Film (HTF) technology, which offers three major structural improvements in Al2O3 sensor design.
Versatile Design Options
The Series 8800 Single Point Trace Moisture Analyzers are provided in four compact, reliable designs with the ability to detect moisture from -100°C to ambient dewpoint levels of +20°C on either a continuous or spot checking basis.
- 8800A – Flush Mount DIN enclosure with connections made via a pluggable screw terminal block
- 8800B – Wall Mount N4X (IP65) enclosure with connections made 3 bottom watertight fittings
- 8800P – Portable battery operated design available in the Standard Version, I/O Version, and I/S Version (I/S version suitable for hazardous areas)
- 8800T – Low-cost, loop powered 4-20mA transmitter design with built-in LCD display

SONO-MOVE: The new Sensor for direct measurements in moved materials
Precise moisture measurements – directly on conveyors and in silos, containers and hoppers.
The novel probe head consists of Wolfram-Carbide and a very wear-resistant ceramic in order to warrant for a long life-span of the probe. Thanks to the Wedge-shaped structure and at only 12mm thickness of the probe the flow of the material on the conveyor belt is only slightly affected.
In case of abrasion, a recalibration is not necessary.
The TRIME technology ensures safe measurements even under difficult conditions, e.g. if the bulk material contains conductive elements with up to 12dS/m pore water conductivity. The radar-based evaluation of the conductance (RbC – Radar based Conductance) enables to establish the mineral content in the measured material and consequently ensures an improved quality control.
The intelligent pre-processing of the measurement values featuring smooth mean value accumulation, adjustable filters, and up to 15 calibration curves for the calibration which is already conducted in the sensor itself. Usually, external evaluation devices are not required.
A RS485 interface enables network operation of the sensor. It already contains a data bus protocol for the connection of several SONO sensors.
The connection of the sensor to industrial buses such as Profibus, Ethernet, etc. is possible via optional external modules (available upon
request).

The moisture measuring system IR 3000 consists of a non-contact working measuring head and a menu-driven interface for calibration and programming of the moisture measuring system.
The menu-driven interface is installed near to the measuring head and used as an external display near to the measuring position.
This allows reading of the measured moisture values at the sampling devices, for laboratory purposes.
With an Ethernet network or serial connection, measured values will be transferred from the menu-driven interface to a visualisation PC in the control room or to a process control system. Here, the central evaluation and display of all connected measuring systems will take place.
To achieve accurate measurement, a continuous flow of material is required. For operational areas, where a continuous material flow is not guaranteed, special sampling devices should be used. During this process, the material falls into an opening by the sampling device. Once measurement of a sample is complete, it is removed by compressed air so that the sampling device refills with material and the next measurement can take place.

for measuring moisture content ...
instantly ... in concrete floors and floor screeds without the need to drill or damage the surface.
SCREEDS AND CONCRETE FLOORS MUST BE DRY BEFORE THE FLOOR COVERING IS INSTALLED
- Regular checking of moisture content during the drying out period of a new concrete floor or floor screed is important to ensure it has reached sufficient dryness to accept the floor covering.
- Excess moisture in the concrete could cause latent problems such as condensation or failure of the adhesive under the floor covering.
-The Concrete Encounter 4 will give you an instant reading of moisture content up to 6% concrete; up to 0 - 10 comparative on gypsum screed enabling you to make an informed decisions on when to install the floor covering.
- To use, simply switch on and hold the instrument firmly against the surface. As many non-destructive tests as you need can be carried out in seconds without the need to drill or damage the concrete.

The Aquamatic 5100 is probably the most accurate moisture meter on the market. It is based on recent research by the US Department of Agriculture and in their comparisons the new technology was about twice as accurate as one of the most commonly used grain moisture meters. In addition to moisture, the Aquamatic also determines specific weight and temperature.
Whereas previous moisture meters would need several calibrations per grain type, the Aquamatic only needs one calibration for all grains and oilseeds. And whereas previous moisture meters would need frequent calibration updates, you should never have to update the calibration in the Aquamatic. These improvements have been made possible by two important advances - the use of 150 MHz technology and the UMA (Unified Moisture Algorithm).

The Vaisala HMT360 Series for Moisture in Natural Gas incorporates Vaisala's proven HUMICAP® sensor technology.
With three probe designs to choose from, the HMT360 Series is flexible enough to suit your installation requirements. Compatible with most existing sampling systems, it is easy to replace old or malfunctioning devices. Designed for high pressure systems, these probes can be installed directly into pipelines, eliminating the need for complex and expensive sample systems. With its ball valve set, the probe can be inserted and removed in low pressure systems. The transmitter is easily configured, and delivered with a one week lead time.
The HUMICAP® sensors are not damaged by glycol, and can tolerate saturated conditions and contact with water without causing measurement drift. The sensors dry down rapidly after exposure to water in the process or ambient conditions. The HMT360 Series is rated intrinsically safe for Class I Division I environments.
The stable HMT360 Series has a one year recommended calibration interval, thus saving maintenance costs and measurement downtime. Probes can be changed in the field in just a couple of minutes!

Powered by patented pulse mode, ion chamber technology in conjunction with a 500 mCi (18.5 GBq) source, the Thermo Scientific MOLA ensures repeatability of ±0.2%. In situations where a smaller source size is acceptable and/or required, the MOLA-LS features a 100 mCi source (3.7 GBq) to ensure repeatability of ±0.47%. Both models optimize blast furnace performance by accurately determining the moisture content in metallurgical grade coke
and/or iron ore pellets.
Based on Thermo Scientific patented pulse mode, ion chamber technology, the MOLA and MOLA-LS allow for excellent stability and repeatability over a wide temperature range without the need for high voltages or temperature stabilization of the circuitry. The signal from the detector is sent to a Thermo Scientific 1400S transmitter where the calculations and density compensation (external input from density gauge) are performed.
Like all Thermo Scientific nuclear gauges, the MOLA and MOLA-LS are easy-to-install and service. With no component exceeding 45 pounds, installation is greatly simplified. The streamlined design also allows for rapid diagnostics and servicing of the unit.
