1. Problem/Initial situation
Chains in corrosive media have to possess high fatigue and wear resistance. Chains made of standard steels corrode quickly whilst stainless steels made of V2-A steel do not withstand these stresses. Nickel-plated or galvanised chains only offer limited corrosion-proofing because the coating is destroyed by abrasion.

iwis high performance chains made of hardened high-alloy steels with good corrosion resistance and significantly higher strength than stainless steel chains.

The connecting link (coupling link) is designed to couple lengths of grade 80 alloy steel chain with matching fittings and appropriate master links. Gripple hanging up system
Gripple is probably world-wide the fastest and most flexible hanging up system - a genuine alternative to the threaded rod or chain. It is to be installed six times faster, flexibly and simply in application, highly loadable however easily, and responding in the optics.

Eye bolt VRS in pink - can be adjusted to the direction of pull. Higher load capacities than DIN 580-Eyebolts.
Attention: Lateral loads with eye bolts acc. to DIN 580 are forbidden! With multiple-point-suspensions at 2- leg and 3 / 4-leg, the positioning of the eye bolt has to be in the direction of pull. This can only be realized with RUD STARPOINT eye bolts as they are adjustable to the direction of pull when fitted.

These chains are built in accordance with ANSI B29.24 and are dimensionally identical to Standard Series Drive chains, but also incorporate pins produced from medium carbon alloy steel, through-hardened, to give the chains higher working load capacity and additional resistance to fatigue.
Additionally, these chains are produced with solid rollers for increased performance when loading is high, but speeds are slow. Users of these chains should be aware that wear life may be slightly reduced due to the material and heat treatment of the chain pins.

The standard version of the VIP lashing chain with a compact ratchet tensioner VKSPSR.
Length: 3500 mm.
Rough length adjustment with a multi shortening claw.
Permissible lashing capacity (LC) = 3000 daN (kp). Please pay attention to the DIN EN 12195-3, VDI 2700 standards.
VIP-VSK lashing chains must not be used for the lifting of loads. Hooks, tensioners and multi shortening claws should not be loaded over the edges. Given "sharp" edges ( radius is smaller than the nominal chain diameter), edge protection should be used.
