| Leaf Chain, commonly known as "Balance Chain", is the most simple of steel chains, consisting only of link plates and pins. This chain is subject to ANSI standard, and suitable for hanging, balancing, or motion transmitting applications. Plates are connected by pins and hold the tension loaded onto the chain. Pins are to resist the shear force from tension loading applied by the link plates and to withstand abrasion from the middle plate holes when the chain articulates. |

Contrary to popular belief, tensile strength is not the only parameter used to judge a palm oil mill chain. In fact it is NOT the most important parameter. A more important feature, called WEAR RESISTANCE is more critical when a palm oil mill chain is to be selected.
WHY?
Because safety factor has been taken into consideration at design stage and when a chain is selected, it means that the tensile strength of the chain meets that of the design value. So there is no necessity to use a chain with much higher tensile strength than the design value.
On the other hand, the understanding of WEAR RESISTANCE is more complex. First of all, it does not have a unit of measurement (such as KN, kgf or lbf in tensile strength). The measurement is simply chain elongation measured in terms of percentage of elongation (amount of elongation to the original chain length expressed in percentage). So the smaller percentage means a better chain used in the same period of time. Generally, a conveyor chain needs replacement when it reaches 2 % elongation. The most important measurement is therefore how long before a chain reaches its life span of 2 % elongation. |

Round sling is an all-purpose lifting sling, which is both high strong and nondamaging to its load. Extremely light in weight and infinitely flexible in all directions, it is easy and quick to manipulate even when awkwardly shaped or fragile loads are being lifted.
Round sling is a continuous loop made from polyester yaen encased in a sleeve of polyester or Nylon fabric. The sleeve is so constructed that it protects the internal rows of yarn filament and keeps them in a parallel formation at all times.
The yarn fibre core is free to spread out into a flat shape where the Round sling is in contact with its load. This provides a broad support, which cushions the load against damage and reduces slipping. The low stretch characteristics of the polyester yarn also prevent 'load bounce' when hoisting very heavy weights.

1. Flat web slings are generally constructed of Polyester, Nylon, and Polypropylene material and offer several attractive features, which promote their popularity among rigging products.
2. They are often selected when expensive, highly polished, fragile or delicate loads must be lifted.
3. The softness of the web will not mar, deface or scratch loads, while its flexibility assures a firm, secure grip around the item being lifted.
4. The lightweight of the material, combined with superb flexibility allows the slings to be quickly and safely handled by riggers.
5. Nylon slings may stretch 6-8% at rated capacity, while polyester slings limit stretch to approximately 3% under similar circumstances.
6. Long life cycles may be experienced since synthetic web is unaffected by moisture, mildew, rot and certain chemicals.
7. Slings can be fabricated from single or multiple plies, may include accessories such as edge guard, wear pads or sleeves, and are available in several configurations.
8. Synthetic web slings are manufactured from safety factor 5:1, 6:1, 7:1, 8:1.

Attention: Lateral loads with eye nuts acc. to DIN 582 are forbidden! With multiple-point-suspensions at 2- leg and 3 / 4-leg, the positioning of the eye bolt has to the direction of pull.This can only be realized with RUD STARPOINT eye nuts as they are adjustable to the direction of pull when fitted.
