Transfer lines are suitable for high volume production. If there are requirements for limited part flexibility, a shorter cycle time and if space is an issue, then these requirements can be met. Transfer lines are also indispensible for heavy-duty metal cutting or if high precision machining has to be performed.
The individual machining sequences are divided into several stations arranged in one line (sequential) and connected with a rigid transport system. The single stations can only perform one machining operation as previously defined. The downtime of one station causes the whole line to come to a halt and thus the output goes down to zero.
Transfer lines systems are constructed from modular units. This design ensures that the Transfer lines can be installed quickly in their final position. The individual stations are so-called "hook" stations, and this enables the line to be started up one station at a time.
The main advantages of the standardization of the slide units are:

Mode of Operation:
The cam-controlled TAKTOMAT lengthwise transfer system, series LF, is designed for applications with linear workpiece flow and high stroke numbers, while maintaining consistently precise positional accuracy. The highly-exact aluminum alloy chain links are lead over track rollers on hardened, ground track ways. The shock and jerk-free drive is realised via a TAKTOMAT cam indexing table. Hardened drive step wheels with semi-circular notches on the circumference transfer the movement
free of play to the chain links. At the other end, the direction change of the chain links is realised via fixed, hardened cams with corrected geometry to balance the polygon effect. The construction of the lengthwise transfer system is based on a building block principle: the constant drive and switching stations can be extended by insert components,
depending on the required number of chain links and processing stations.

Rotary tables - A simple and cost efficient solution to accumulation.
SOCO SYSTEM´s rotary table is suitable for accumulation of e.g. retail products.
The operator is free to perform other jobs, while, at the same time, interruption of the arrival of products is avoided.
Rotating on the table, the articles are constantly within easy reach. A rational work station offering correct working conditions.
A fan directs the products, and the table is prepared for side guides.
The legs are height adjustable.

Turntables collect, buffer and decollate products
Continuous conveying means are sought after again. Users recognise that things in material handling don't work without mechanics. "Lean production" comes with "lean-handling of materials"". Computers and robots alone cannot accomplish this.
"Turning tables" are a tool of choice in only a few companies, e.g., to avoid congested material flow, to balance variations in cycles, or to simply buffer parts, workpieces or other unit loads for manual activities.
"TRAPO's turntable" can be installed as stationary as well as mobile "on wheels," thereby proving its "flexible“ application.
Therefore, if any kind of materials need to be collected, buffered or decollated, there is no way around this versatile turntable. Additionally, it can later be very easily integrated into existing lines.
Upon request, the turntables can be fitted with suitable intakes or transfers from or onto conveyor belts and machines. Additionally, we are available for consultations on a case-by-case basis for complex situations.

The justifications for vacuum conveying are its simplicity of operation, ability to negotiate lengthy and tortuous routes and the hygienic transfer of materials. Product is conveyed from a feed source to a delivery point suspended in a stream of gas - usually air. Hot melt adhesives have increased production, reduced waste and costs, and improved product appearance throughout industry.
Supplied in solid pellet form hot melts or glue chips are traditionally stored in small-capacity containers or cartons. For use in packaging or product assembly the pellets are manually emptied into a hopper directly above the melt tank or adhesive applicator. Operators, are exposed to fumes and splashes of hot molten glue.
To eliminate manual pellet handling,
Vac-U-Max has, developed a line of vacuum conveyors both air and electric operated which provide continuous direct, transfer of the pellets to the point of use. PPC pneumatic pharma conveyors from Volkmann were especially developed for all those applications, which require top quality materials, surfaces and characteristics of all parts, which come in contact with the conveyed materials. They are mainly used inside Pharmaceutical and Color/Lacquer industries because of their separator elements being built in a one-piece design - an optimum for such applications with frequent product changes, which require a quick reliable absolute cleaning of the Process machinery to prevent contamination of products. PPCs superior manufacturing quality and their gap-free design fulfils highest quality demands. Nevertheless, they are easily taken into pieces by hand without tools and can be cleaned quickly and can be sterilized.
The design is completely electrical conductive, free of gaps and doesn't have any inaccessible spaces where the product might remain. PPC conveyors come with a huge butterfly valve at the discharge, which can be taken to pieces without tools.
