GC4220
Sandvik Coromant’s new GC4220 grade promises 20-30% improvement in productivity against the current grade thanks to the latest developments in grade technology and an improved substrate and coating. Suitable for use in medium to rough milling at the elevated temperatures created by high speed milling or hard materials, grade GC4220 provides security and predictability to maximize productivity and optimize high metal removal rate. This GC4220 grade guarantees better security at higher speeds and higher feed rates than GC4020, good performance in unmanned production plus higher metal removal rate. The special strength of GC4220 lies in its resistance to crater wear and plastic deformation, common wear problems when running at high speeds and feeds. With its improved edge line strength and bulk toughness and its capacity to withstand increased cutting data, GC4220 is more predictable in dry milling, face and profile milling and ensures a good surface finish.
GC4230
New insert grade GC4230 from Sandvik Coromant is a highly versatile and all round performer, optimized for light to heavy milling of alloyed and unalloyed steels. Designed to meet the demands of modern machining, it is equally effective in both wet and dry conditions and at medium to high speeds. With improved properties providing maximum resistance to all wear types, GC4230 offers the confidence to increase cutting speed and metal removal rate, for a large boost to milling performance. Stressless coating technologies help to ensure this new grade brings improved edge line toughness far beyond standard CVD grades - for a trouble free machining experience in all applications. |

GC4205
Sandvik Coromant completes its New Insert Generation with the introduction of GC4205, the first choice new insert grade for steel turning at high speeds and high metal removal rates under stable conditions. The new grade has an extended performance range, from roughing to medium and semi-finishing, and withstands operations where high cutting temperatures are generated.
GC4215
A new steel turning grade from Sandvik Coromant, GC4215 delivers higher performance machining results across a wide steel application area and enables increased cutting data in wet and dry conditions. Advanced grade technology has allowed GC4215 to improve productivity without losing security in the P15 area for roughing to finishing and at continuous to light intermittent cuts in P10 to P20 applications. It is the latest addition to the New Insert Generation from Sandvik Coromant.
GC4225
GC4225 from Sandvik Coromant represents the next generation of P25 grades to enhance machining performance in the general steel turning area. GC4225 has an improved capacity to adapt to variations in workpiece material and operational demands towards the tougher end of applications, thus providing more versatility. The new black and yellow grade provides a new potential for increasing productivity through higher cutting data, backed up by improved reliability. |
