Extruded finned tubes
At the heart of most Thermofin heat exchangers’ technology lies Thermofin’s aluminium extruded finned tubes, they are the lead actors on which rests the efficiency and longevity of our units. Their particular design (mono or bimetal) provides great resistance (fin stiffness) as well as exceptional heat transfer characteristics (longevity, temperature range). The mechanical bond joining liner tubes and aluminium wall insures no corrosion occurs between fin and tube, a key factor in permitting the delivery of the specified duty by your heat exchanger, it also offers superior durability.
Heat pipes
Based on Thermofin’s extruded fin tube technology, our selection of heat pipes is designed to suit the need of the Original Equipment Manufacturer. Whether they be bent in ‘U’ shape or equipped with end fitting to facilitate their filling, Thermofin’s heat pipe designs are devoted to match your thermal and geometrical requirements. Their superior thermal performance is partly linked to the fintube inside capillary surface, created during the tube manufacture, this surface promotes the refrigerant migration.

Spiral Finned Tubes :
FINNED TUBES
While it is not necessary to tell engineers what finned tubes are, or that their use is mandatory in cases of gas-liquid heat exchange where the film coefficient ratio is above 2, it is essential to tell the engineers that M.J.Patel's FINNED TUBES are backed by not only engineering excellence of manufacture, but also by our zealously guarded reputation for the finest quality of all our products.
T-FINS
Helical Straight strip wound on the tube are mechanically secured. The tubes are required grade of steel, the fins are aluminium for maximum tube-wall temperature of 121 deg C (250 deg F) and mild service conditions.
L-FINS
Helical strip bent to L-shape are mechanically secured to the tube with the outer surface of the tube totally enclosed with fins, for full fin contact and protection of tube from chemical action of the gas for maximum tube-wall temperature of 177 deg C (350 deg F) and moderate service conditions.
G-FINS
Helical straight strip wound into pre-cut grooves on the outer wall of the tube, fin and groove lips mechanically closed for maximum tube-wall temperature of 371 deg C (700 deg F) and extreme working conditions.
STUDDED TUBES
We have developed state of the art Technology for studded Pipes and Tubes of Carbon, Alloy and Stainless Steel Material having extremely low clear gaps between studs. These are used in Refinery Services and Fluidized Beds Boiler Coils.

AKG designs and manufactures heat exchangers for refrigeration dryers for the preparation of compressed air. The heat exchangers transfer heat between a cold medium and the damp compressed air. This cools the compressed air to a pressure dew point. If required the condensation generated by the cooling process is collected in a condensation chamber integrated into the heat exchanger and continually drained off.
By means of optimum dimensioned channels for both the compressed air and the coolant we achieve optimum heat transfer with regard to low pressure difference, and high resistance to contamination.
AKG heat exchangers are used for heat transfer between compressed air and various coolants.

AIR-OIL HEAT EXCHANGERS -SERIES AP WITH HYDRAULIC MOTOR :
This type of exchanger has been designed for use on movable machines where battery feed is insufficient or when exchangers with direct current supply are inadequate to produce high thermic yields. The radiative unit is of aluminium because this material is a very good conductor; providing high thermic yields and relatively compact over-all dimensions. Thanks to the particular construction of the radiative unit the exchangers of the series APL cope well with water hammer conditions which, at peak values, must not exceed the minimum allowable dynamic pressure of 20 bar. The maximum allowable static pressure is of 35 bar.

The spray cooler is ideal for:
• Encapsulated materials
• Fats
• Glycerides
• Hydrates
• Inorganic/organic melts
• Quaternary ammonium compounds
• Stearic acid/stearates
• Waxes
What is spray cooling/congealing?
The transition of a melt from a soft or fluid state to a rigid or solid state by cooling is called congealing. The various droplet formation techniques and the efficient droplet / air contact make the spray drying concept ideal for making spherical particle powder by congealing of melts. During the spray cooling / spray congealing process a melt is formed into particles of spherical shape by spraying the melt into a cooling chamber.
The spray cooling process
Cooling is performed by air introduced at sufficient low temperature. The melt can be atomized or prilled by a rotary atomizer equipped with a special designed wheel. Another option is to atomize the melt by pressure nozzles or 2-fluid nozzles.
Spray cooling is utilized in the chemical, food, and pharmaceutical industries. It is a convenient method of transforming melted feed stocks into free-flowing particulates of controlled particle size.
