Compatibility:
Ink compatibility is critical to the operation of Trident printheads. Professional inks typically have primary and secondary solvents, all of which must be compatible with the components of a printhead. Incompatible solvents can attack, corrode and otherwise damage elements of the printhead. This can cause inconsistent operation of the printhead, poor print quality, reduced frequency response, reduced print rate or actual breakdown.
Quality Parameters:
Particulate and moisture content have direct bearing specifications on flow and clogging. Trident inks are highly filtered, which results in very low particulate content. This is of critical importance to proper operation of Trident printheads.
Trident's Ink Characteristics:
Supply:
Patented Delivery Systems
- Functional, patented reservoir and bottle
- Mini Ink Supply Subsystem with cartridge
Safety:
Non-Hazardous. Contact Trident for Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for each particular ink.
Drying Time:
Varies depending on Trident ink selected
Less than 0.5 seconds on porous substrates Approximately 10 seconds on non-porous substrates
Shelf Life:
Most Trident inks are shelf stable for at least one-year at room temperature
Printhead Warranty:
Trident's inks meet all the requirements for performance with Trident printheads and support full printhead warranty coverage. |

Direct printing guarantees a high-quality image and strengthens the distinctive character of each product.
For decorating bigger items such as bottles and tubes, industrial screen printing is perfectly suitable. Cosmetic packages or molded parts, however, are mainly decorated by pad printing. |
|
Glass - a versatile material with extraordinary glossy features. Glass appears in nearly all markets - accompanied by innovative professional ink trends offering new windows of opportunity.
Whether the impetus is design freedom, cost savings, or environmentally based, new solutions for glass decoration are being sought. These features apply particularly to bottles, drinking glasses, and small cosmetic bottles. Decorated flat glass for indoor application is gaining importance. |

Almost every product bears an individual and informative message - often on a high-quality screen printed professional label. Within the modern exchange of goods, labels safe from confusion, provide safety indications, explain dosage, all while providing an attractive optical appearance.
There are many reasons in favour of industrial screen printing: High opacity - essential for application onto dark substrates; high-gloss or matt finish - providing an attractive contrast; and good resistance to mechanical stress and fill goods. |
|
Electronic switches and controls are operated simply and comfortably by the use of membrane switches with highest functional safety - printed with the modern industrial screen printing technology.
Membrane switches excel due to their space-saving and compact construction, safe function, and last but not least by insensitivity to humidity and soiling. The boundless design possibilities are a further consideration. |

INK, DYNES AND PENS
Surface Tension is the poperty of a liquid arising from unbalanced molecular forces at or near the surface. If it is higher than the surface energy of a material, the liquid tends to form droplets rather than spread out. Another name for an ink´s surface tension properties is "wettability".
Dyne Levels
Surface tension is normally measured in energy units called dynes (mN). A dyne is the amount of force required to produce an acceleration of 1cm/sec on a mass of 1g. The dyne level of a material is called its surface energy.
If the liquid has a dyne level lower than the material´s surface energy, then the liquid will spread out over its entire surface in a uniform wet layer. If the ink´s dyne level is equal to or higher that a material´s dyne level, the liquid will become cohesive and tend to remain in droplets.
Thus water will prefer to cling to itself, rather than to low energy surfaces, whilst solvents will readily spread and be attractes to a plastic surface film having a surface tension > 30 dynes/cm.
For good adhesion in printing, the surface energy of the polymer should be at last 10 dynes higher than the surface tension of the ink. |

| This UV-curable stamping ink is particularly suited for printing and decorating such products which are immediately to be post-processed and are requiring excellent mechanical and chemical resistances. Tampacure TPC is mainly used on ABS, rigid PVC, some polycarbonate (PC) but also on polystyrene (PS), and acrylic materials (PMMA). By adding Hardener H 2, a good adhesion can also be achieved on many other substrates such as pre-treated polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP), as well as polyamide (PA), and varnished surfaces. Tampacure TPC is high-glossy and has a high opacity |
