Your suggestions for improvement:
An ARM microprocessor is a core with 32-bit RISC architecture. The ARM company licenses it for integration into devices made by others. Those available as an integrated circuit are built around an ARM core with an ARM instruction set.
ApplicationsConsuming very little power, ARM processors dominate embedded computing, especially in cellphones and tablets. The various types are designed to optimize running Java® code or for compatibility with certain versions of Linux®, Windows CE® or Windows 8® operating systems, in competition with PC microprocessors.
TechnologiesARM cores have several pipeline levels. A second instruction set (Thumb) in the ARM7TDMI provides more compact 16-bit instruction coding. They can integrate hardwired calculating functions, as in a digital signal processor (DSP), graphics and specialized functions ensuring secure access to memory data.
How to chooseChoice will depend on power consumption and the specific functions required for the applications to be developed.
- Low power consumption
- Flexibility
- Compatible with embedded applications
- Compatible with multimedia
