Mercury analysis in the sub-ppt range
mercur: a fully automatic AFS/AAS system for the analysis of Hg from the sub-ppt range into the mid-ppb range based on the cold vapour technique. The stand-alone system with its fully integrated PC with intuitive high-performance touchscreen ensures the best possible operating convenience.
This unique solution opens up all the benefits of WinAAS software - without the often bulky computer. The printer or other external media are connected via an interface. Data archiving is facilitated by an internal disk drive or directly via the network.
- Extremely low detection limits < 0.1 ppt
- Wide dynamic range across five decades
- Continuous flow mode with or without autosampler
- Maximum automation and high sample throughput
- Integration of the ?intelligent? dilution routine with the AS 52s
- Automatic standard production immediately prior to measurement
- Measurement range expansion option using cascade enrichment via a gold collector - mercur plus
- Conformity with current standards (EPA and EN)
- Optimized gas-liquid separator
- Optimal protection with a novel dry membrane and bubble-sensor
- Optimisation of reaction times

When the concentrations of mercury need to be accurately measured, laboratories all over the world turn to Teledyne Leeman Labs for high performance solutions to their Hg analysis challenges.
The Hydra Series is a family of fully automated instruments that address both solid and liquid sample types. The Hydra Series consists of the Hydra AA, Hydra AF, and Hydra-C direct combustion analyzer.
Hydra AF : Fully automated cold vapor atomic fluorescence analyzer designed to fit your analytical requirements. Hydra AF analyzers are capable of detection limits of less than 0.05 ppt with a dynamic range that extends to nearly 100 ppb. Compliant with EPA Method 245.7 and with European Standard EN-13506.

The Model 2500 Cold Vapor Atomic Fluorescence Spectrophotometry (CVAFS) detector has an absolute detection limit of < 0.1 pg of mercury. The system is available with either an adjustable ball flow meter or precision mass flow meter. The latter option allows remote control and readout of the carrier flow rate. The detector can be used with any analytical system capable of producing mercury vapor in an inert gas stream.
Key Features
The Model 2500 contains a number of features that provide enhanced stability.
- Optical path stabilization to prevent baseline and sensitivity shifts.
- The entire instrument is powered from an internal DC power supply, rendering it immune to line voltage fluctuations.
- Excitation source is kept at a constant temperature in a thermostatically controlled block.
- An optical feedback system provides constant intensity over the life of excitation source.
- Ultra low noise electronics provides a high quality analog output.
