Our carefully planned, wide variety of indexable inserts is one of the highlights of the Pokolm-Voha program. A perfect complement to our milling cutter program, it offers a wide selection of carbide grades, geometries, and diverse application possibilities. The program provides an optimal solution for every task:
Diameters of 5 to 20 mm (radii of 2.5 to 10 mm), diverse shapes, carbide grades, and coatings – along with a great variety of milling cutter bodies, our patent-protected insert seats, and arbor systems – allow combinations in every possible way.
All Pokolm-Voha inserts have been developed based on shop-tested applications by our customers, and we improve our inserts to meet every new challenge. This constant and innovative developmental process, and a remarkably intensive cooperation with our carbide suppliers and coating partners, guarantee state-of-the-art types of inserts at all times.

For machining the desired part, we choose the most favourable manufacturing method. The fastest way of getting blanks is the direct pressing of the granulated powder by a corresponding tool and sintering afterwards. An alternative for complicated or bigger parts is the two step shaping method. Details: maximum possible are blanks up to Ø 190mm or a length of 300mm.

T9000
To meet the continuously growing demands of modern tool concepts as to economic efficiency and productivity, Tungaloy designed the new T9000 series. The result of our intensive research and development is a modern cutting grade series, which stands for increased tool life at higher cutting speeds in machining operations of steel. Compared to traditional cutting materials, the new MT-CVD coated substrate has a unique design of each single coating layer. The patented new "Double-Bridge" coating technology stands for extremely increased adhesion of each single layer. Thus thicker coatings can be applied without weakening the adhesion between each single layer. These characteristics grant significantly increased wear resistance, thus allowing for higher cutting conditions.

NX3035
The latest generation of cermet inserts for steel turning now provides cutting edge stability even when using coolant, an area where the use of conventional cermet grades resulted in unpredictable tool life.
A large range of over 300 inserts, with negative and positive geometries are available and the series also includes a varied range of chip breakers to suit all applications.
NX3035 uses a special alloy binder that offers even higher thermal conductivity and bonding strength, and as a result it delivers much improved thermal shock resistance. This reduces thermal cracking and enables NX3035 to exhibit a high degree of tool life stability even during wet machining, an area where conventional cermet lacks performance. Tests have shown that thermal shock resistance was doubled compared to other cermet grades.
The use of coolant during high speed finishing helps to maintain excellent surface finishes and additionally, dimensional accuracy of components can be maintained for longer due to the stability of the cutting edge.

Posimatic™ - Swiss Automatic
Stellram has a range of tools for use on Swiss Auto type lathes with small cross section shanks from 0.375” (10mm) square to 0.750” (20mm) square. Grades and geometries are available to handle the specific feeds and speeds associated with these machines.
Some other features of this program are:
- Nose radii starting at 0 for excellent surface finishes and sharp internal corners
