Exposure to cold conditions is an everyday occurrence in many northern hemisphere countries. Low temperatures and wind make a strong protective outer layer necessary. Helly Hansen Professional workwear presents a broad collection of lined windproof winter industrial clothing for craftsmen, engineers, agronomists and other people who spend time in places where the cold is a challenge.
The cold may adversely affect comfort, performance and health at work, so low temperatures also represent a threat to workers' and employers' safety and productivity.
Exposure to wind as well as cold results in rapid heat loss. But garments that protect against the wind must also allow the release of excess heat during hard work. The answer is to choose clothing that helps you maintain an even, comfortable body temperature, by storing heat in the thermal layer and protecting you from the wind. Our insulating windproof clothes have been designed for precisely this purpose.
To provide adequate protection against wind and cold in varying work situations, we offer different combinations of professional fabric and insulating materials. The garments are made of top-quality fabrics including Oxford nylon, beaver nylon and polyester. Insulating materials like quilting, pile, down, polyester padding or Thinsulate® protect against the cold. |

FLAME RETARDANT GARMENTS PART OF THE 3-LAYER SYSTEM! Contact with open fire, hot surfaces or radiant heat is a reality in many workplaces. In industry, on construction sites and in many other trades it is important to protect yourself and your employees against these threats. HH Industrial workwear includes an extensive collection of flame retardant garments.
>> Helly Hansen Workwear’s flame retardant industrial clothing is approved for use in environments where there is a risk of incidental contact with open flames or when there is a danger of short term exposure to strong radiant heat. The products should be used with other flame retardant clothing. Please contact us for guidance, to ensure you choose the right flame retardant clothes for your needs.
Base and Thermal Layers
The professional fabric in the flame retardant base layer is 50% flame resistant Lenzing® viscose and 50% wool, which provides insulation as well as flame resistance. The flame retardant viscose fibres have been treated with a mixture of phosphorus and sulphate. The flame retarding treatment is permanent and effective, even after the garments have been repeatedly washed. The combination of wool and viscose provides good insulation properties and a high level of comfort. Flame retardant fibre pile is made of 80% Zirpro®-processed flame retardant wool and 20% flame retardant Trevira SEC®. This process ensures permanent and effective protection. All zips, cuffs, etc, are also made in flame retardant materials. Helly Hansen flame retardant fibre pile has been approved and listed by NATO |

Many accidents are a result of poor visibility, both by day and at night. The question of working clothes providing greater visibility is becoming an increasingly important topic among workers, companies and authorities. Helly Hansen Professional workwear has a stand-alone visibility collection and offers visibility professional clothing within most product categories.
Poor visibility poses a threat to many workers, including construction workers, airport personnel, watchmen and emergency units. Increased visibility at work can be achieved by using the appropriate visibility clothing. Workwear that has fluorescent professional fabric and reflective materials helps you move safely at work.
Helly Hansen Workwear has developed visibility garments in all appropriate product categories. You will find jackets, pants, vests and overalls that increase visibility in all ranges.
Each year thousands of people suffer from traffic injuries. 40% of these accidents occur in the dark and many could have been avoided if visibility clothing had been worn. Surveys show that the use of reflective materials reduces the risk of pedestrians being hit by a car by 85 per cent*. There is also a high risk of accidents in daytime at a variety of sites, including construction sites, along roads and at airports. |

We know that craftsmen need functional and durable clothes. When you are working, freedom of movement and comfort are important. Helly Hansen Industrial workwear has developed a comprehensive range of professional clothing designed to make the working day easier, safer and more comfortable for craftsmen.
>> Traditional Garments
The collection consists of garments like jackets, trousers, vests, shorts and shirts based on different combinations of polyester and cotton. Polyester provides superior durability, while cotton ensures a high level of comfort. We combine the two materials so that our customers can benefit from both advantages.
Traditional working clothes are made of a twill professional fabric which far exceeds industrial references of durability and wear resistance. This has prompted our designers to develop a broad range of functional and comfortable twill garments that also allow optimal freedom of movement. The garments are designed to make the working day as simple and practical as possible. They incorporate the Helly Hansen Workwear Tradesman Pocket System™, with solid, moveable pockets with loops – a feature unique to Helly Hansen.
Innovative IMS™/Click.on™
Besides the traditional polyester/cotton garments, we have a separate range with an interactive module system. IMS™/Click.on™ is based on the growing need to use technological equipment such as mobile phones and handheld Professional pcs at work. Different types of pockets and professional fasteners can easily be clicked on to the most appropriate places on the workwear. This system provides increased flexibility and access to important electronic tools such as instruments and communication devices, as well as traditional tools. |

There is a growing need for waterproof working clothes that also transport perspiration. The reason is obvious: they are ideal for working outdoors. They keep you dry and comfortable all day – in the sun, the snow and the rain. At Helly Hansen Industrial workwear, we have been making industrial clothing like this for years, using our unique Helly Tech® professional fabric system.
>> Everybody who works outdoors knows the challenge. You want to keep dry in rain, snow and sleet, yet avoid perspiration and condensation. That is why Helly Hansen Workwear developed Helly Tech®, the unique fabric system used in our collection of waterproof, breathable garments. Today Helly Tech® garments are worn by workers in large and small companies all over the world. They include the Italian Railways, the Danish Postal Service and the Norwegian Police force.
Keeps you Dry
The garments in the Helly Tech® collection release condensation and perspiration, while keeping rain and snow out. More than 20 years of experience with waterproof clothes that transport moisture, in addition to a thorough knowledge of materials and design, have ensured the production of first-class garments.
Helly Tech®-fabrics are constructed either with a thin film that transports moisture or by applying several thin layers of polymers to the reverse side of the fabric. For all practical purposes both systems work well. They are equally efficient at releasing body moisture. At the same time the micro pores in the fabric are too small for water molecules to penetrate from outside. All seams are sealed to ensure that the whole garment is waterproof. |

Helly Hansen Professional workwear’s waterproof professional clothing meets quality standards that are three times stricter than those required by the trade. More than 125 years’ experience and feedback from all fields of industry, from fishermen off the coast of Alaska to oil workers in the North Sea, have given us advantages that benefit our customers.
>> It is more than 125 years since Captain Helly Juell Hansen first started producing waterproof clothing for seamen. As early as in 1878 the company won its first award for waterproof garments at the Paris Expo. Nothing like it had ever been seen before. The award was the first of many. Since then Helly Hansen has been a pioneer in the development of waterproof clothes for work and leisure activities.
Our experience and competence allow us to produce waterproof clothes with high functionality and quality in every detail. This is important as these clothes are often worn in extreme work situations, on oil rigs or fishing boats, where quality directly affects the wearer’s well-being, health and safety.
100% Waterproof
The collection consists of 100% waterproof PVC and PU coated clothes, providing superior protection and durability. PVC-coated garments have an extremely hard-wearing coating and are resistant to water as well as most chemicals, acids and oils. PU-coated clothes are lighter, softer and more resistant to the cold.
Our comprehensive collection includes waterproof garments made from different base textiles, designed for different needs.Woven cotton is more comfortable against the skin and reduces condensation. Knitted synthetic textiles offer lower weight and superior tear strength. |
