Dual Element transducers used to measure thickness, detect flaws and corrosion in thin materials, especially where near surface resolution is required.
They focus very close to the front surface, making them ideal for corrosion and pitting tests, braze inspection and lamination evaluation.

The Canin+ corrosion analyzing instrument provides two methods for investigating and assessing the corrosion of steel in concrete:
- Half-cell corrosion potential method - accurate field potential measurements aid in detecting active corrosion in rebars.
- Concrete resistivity method - the instrument measures the specific electrical resistivity of concrete.
This combination of potential and resistivity measurement improves the information about the corrosion condition of the rebars.
In order to satisfy individual testing needs, the Canin+ is available individually with a rod electrode, wheel electrode and/or Wenner probe configurations or as a complete system with all components.

The Gecor 8™ features:
1. A method for rapidly mapping a structure's corrosion rate. An advanced modulation confinement technique for precise corrosion rate analysis.
2. A new corrosion rate analysis technique for use in very wet or submerged structures.
3. New methodology for measurement of cathodic protection efficiency and more…
The rapid mapping technique of the Gecor 8™ allows the engineer to quickly classify areas of a structure while the unit's built-in programming can graphically analyze this data and produce contour maps of suspected areas. And, our advanced modulation confinement technique accurately measures the true polarization resistance of the steel reinforcing bar.
Combined with the latest advances in interface systems and database storage technology, the Gecor 8™ is an easy to use, reliable, automatic and intelligent corrosion rate analysis system. A system that can save an engineer time, money and effort in evaluating structures for subsequent rehabilitation.

Cygnus ROV MOUNTABLE
Multiple Echo Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge
Cygnus Instruments offers two dedicated ROV mountable thickness gauges. These units have been designed to be mounted onto most types of work class ROV with a manipulator facility.
The shallow water version is pressure tested to 1000 m and the deep water version is pressure tested to 3000m. Dedicated software displays the time, date and thickness readings on the surface and all of these can be stored or logged.
Features
• Two models available:
• Shallow water version pressure tested to 1000 m depth
• Deep water version pressure tested to 3000 m depth
• 5 m of probe cable for routing around most ROVs
• Power supply taken from the ROV
• Only one twisted pair is required to transfer the data to the surface
• The probe does not need to touch the surface under test, as measurements can be taken through 5 mm of water
• Readings are not influenced by the probe orientation
• Dedicated software displays the time, date and thickness measurements on a computer at the surface. Measurements can be stored or logged.
Specification
• Range 3 mm - 250 mm with 2.25 MHz probe
• 2 mm - 150 mm with 3.5 MHz probe
• 1 mm - 50 mm with 5 MHz probe
• Accuracy ±0.1 mm OR ±0.05 mm
• Resolution 0.1 mm OR 0.05 mm
• Probes Remote single crystal soft-faced
• compression
• 13 mm: 2.25, 3.5 or 5 MHz
• 19 mm: 2.25 MHz
• Power 7.5 - 30 V DC @ 150 mA (maximum)
• Weight in air 550 g
• Size 237 mm x 70 mm
• Operating Temp -10 °C to +50 °C
