Applications
Environments containing flammable gases or vapour continuously, intermittently or periodically in enough amount to generate explosive or flammable mixtures arising out of repairs or maintenance services.
The most common locations of Zone 1 and 2, group IIA and IIB are those where the following gases are found present: oil, naphtha, benzene, ammonia, propane, diethylic ether, acetone, alcohol, industrial methane, natural gas.
The main applications include fans, blowers, crushers, conveyor systems, mills, cranes and other applications located in areas that require explosion proof motors

Fanox offer a motor protection relay, with ATEX certificate (PTB). It is ideal for motor application on explosive atmosphere.
General characteristics:
- Overload protection with thermal memory
- Phase aymmetry and phase sequence protection
- External display module for panel mounting (22 mm)
- Not connected to the motor line (passing through wires).
- Manual reset: when tripping as result of asymmetry or phase failure, the relay could be reset after 2 seconds; should tripping be caused by an overload, the waiting time to reset will be directly proportional to its severity, up to approximately 8 minutes.
- Remote reset: after the waiting time has elapsed by interrupting the auxiliary power supply and reconnecting it again after 3 seconds.
