Lift platforms raise and lower objects or individuals in pods or on platforms for temporary operations at height. Users may be required to go through special training.
These devices are found in warehouses, automotive repair shops and on construction sites. They also are used to establish an elevated work space, in which case platform units offer greater flexibility and access than pod versions.
Common lift platform types include mast-climbing transport platforms, cherry pickers and scissor lift tables. They can be grid- or battery-powered, stationary (lifting loads) or mobile (work platform).
Consider the platform's maximum height, load-bearing capacity, dimensions, operating speed, frequency of use (cycles/hour) and operational environment (dry, covered facility, corrosive atmosphere, etc.).
