Active Carbon
Carbon Bed Filters are of vertical fabricated construction generally mounted on skirts.
In operation, the process fluid enters the filter above the bed, through the inlet nozzle and via radial distribution lateral, designed to ensure an even flow distribution over the top surface of the carbon.
The contaminated medium passes through the granular activated carbon bed, where the impurities are attracted to the very high surface area of the Carbon.
The carbon bed is supported on a graded 'Silex' base consisting of a course and fine layer of which will fully support large volumes of carbon.

CP capsules are designed and manufactured by Critical Process for small flow and encapsulated disposable cartridge requirements. CP capsules are offered in a wide range of pleated and depth medias and offered in four grades; general, food / beverage, electronic and pharmaceutical. Each Capsule has been designed to hold the maximum amount of filter media that can be completely and effectively utilized in a capsule. CP capsules lower the cost of filtration and reduce the need for high cost metallic housings. They are well suited for liquids and gas applications with the same attention to quality, traceability, validation and testing.

The CYCLESORB Service is a mobile adsorption service combining adsorber and transport vessel for the treatment of liquid streams.
The Cyclesorb ® are pre-loaded with carbon and delivered to a site. The unit is operated until saturation of the activated carbon. A second unit is then delivered at the same time that the exhausted unit is picked to minimise transport.
Once the unit is returned to a Chemviron Carbon facility it is discharged of spent carbon, cleaned, checked and refilled with virgin or reactivated carbon.
The CYCLESORB ® units come complete with piping, valves and connections suitable for immediate connection to the stream to be treated. The frame for the unit allows it to be placed on a suitable flat and hard surface.
The liquid is pumped through the units in a down flow direction. The outlet should be monitored periodically to check the activated carbon is achieving the treatment objective by regularly taking samples.
The benefits of this service include:
Simple installation and operation - The units are designed for connection with flexible hosing and come with the activated carbon installed. No carbon handling is required as the unit is simply exchanged.
Rapid installation - CYCLESORBS are normally available from inventory, ready for immediate startup and operation.
Low capital expense - CYCLESORBS are supplied on a service basis requiring no capital expenditure.
Partnership - Chemviron Carbon supply both the system and reactivation service and therefore have a vested interest to ensure the system fully meets the requirements.

Duplex Bag Filters With Automatic Sequencing
Continuous, uninterrupted filtering of large flows of liquid is provided by these automatic duplex filters. When the filter bags on one side get to the point of requiring change-out, the incoming flow is automatically diverted to the clean filter bags on the other side. Maintenance personnel are alerted to the need to change the dirty filters so that the system will be ready for the next cycle.
Availability
- The automatic duplex valve system can be ordered on any Rosedale filter vessel.
- The main inlet and outlet connections can be positioned to accommodate any flow direction within reason.
- Systems are shipped assembled, ready for use, often on dollies or skids to assist putting them in place.

Suction filters up to 18.5 gpm, Tank top mounting, ES 074/ES 094
Application
To be installed in the suction line of the pumps of hydraulic systems resp. upstream of the charge pumps of hydrostatic drives.
Performance features
Protection against wear: By means of filter elements that, in full-flow
filtration, meet even the highest demands regarding cleanliness classes.
Protection against malfunction:
By means of full-flow filtration in the system return, the pumps, above all, are protected from dirt particles remaining in the system after assembly and repairs, which are generated by wear or enter the system from outside.
Special features
Filter element locking valve:
Foot valve:
Ensures that dirt accumulated in the filter element is removed along with the element and cannot return to the tank. When the screw-on cap is removed for maintenance, the foot valve closes automatically. This makes it possible to service the filter even if it is submerged below the oil level in a full tank.
Filter elements
Flow direction from center to outside. The star-shaped pleating of the filter
material results in:
- large filter surfaces
- low pressure drop
- high dirt-holding capacities
- long service life
In filters with a magnetic system, the ferromagnetic particles in the fluid first pass through a strong magnetic field and are separated.
Filter maintenance
By using a clogging indicator the correct moment for maintenance is stated and guarantees the optimum utilization of the filter life.

Simplex Bag Filters PVC / CPVC
Simplex Bag Filters PPL / PVDF
Duplex Bag Filters
Filter Bags
Accept Most Standard Filter Bags:
For application versatility these all plastic housings will accept most standard 7" diameter filter bags. The single length vessel uses Size 01 bags, 7" x 16", while the double length vessel uses Size 02 bags, 7" x 32". This permits the vessel to be used with thousands of different types of filter bags to exactly match the applications requirements. With a Hayward PVC or CPVC bag filter you are not limited to just a few "non-standard" size filter bags.
Advanced Design:
This all plastic housing is designed to stand up to the most demanding industrial and commercial applications around. Rugged, thick wall construction ensures years of trouble free service and the housing is rated at a full 150 PSI. The built-in true union piping and drain connections makes installation and operation quick and easy. With this feature the filter housing can be removed from the piping system without having to break down the piping system. Just unscrew the assembly nut and remove the connecting pipe. The integral mounting base also makes for an easy installation and eliminates the need for extra cost support legs. The housing has two bottom outlet connections so that either can be used as a drain connection. This makes possible both in-line or loop piping installations. The one-piece, corrosion resistant plastic body has an extremely smooth interior surface that is very easy to clean. The housing comes standard with a plastic cover vent valve.
Easy Bag Change:
The hand-removable, no tools required, spin-off cover makes filter bag changing quick and easy. There are no swing bolts to deal with as on a metal filter housing. Just a few turns of the built in 15" cover handle opens and closes the housing with little effort.
Corrosion is Never a Problem:
A metal filter housing will ultimately rust or corrode and contaminate the process media. This can never happen with a Hayward PVC or CPVC all plastic bag filter housing, it will never rust, corrode or contaminate the process media and the housings light weight makes installation easy.

The Electric H2O BF Series Bag Filter remove suspended particulate from water and
other process applications. Contaminants such as pipe scale, grit, waxes, metal chips, rust and airborne debris from many sources are removed in a consistent, proven manner. Electric H2O offers a variety of bags designed to remove particles from 0.35 to 800 microns. Optional features include a system-matched pump, motor, PLC control, bag change out alarm, instrumentation and piping.
|

Bag filters have many uses in coolant filtration. They are often used as a pre-filter to remove large solid contaminants that might cause pump problems. They are well suited applications with modest solids loading. Chips and swarf that are porous can fill the bag, providing very efficient filter media use. Bags are a good pick on applications that require the contaminants to be packed in drums for disposal, as the bags collapse and pack easily.
Bag filters have a relatively small surface area, about 4 – 5 sq. ft. in the largest standard housings. Therefore, we do not recommend them where the solids form a thin impervious layer, blinding off coolant flow.
