| The laser turntable 400 enables to mark single workpieces in the area of the laser according to laser protection class 1. The turntable rotates throughout 180 degrees. New parts may be placed at the front side and at the same time parts may be laser-marked in the back. Release of a rotation is made by two-hand operation on release of the laser after having finished a marking process. The laser irradiation does not cause any danger neither for the operator’s skin nor eyes. The laser may be adjusted by means of a stepper motor driven depth-axis from two push buttons in the external operation panel. The laser safety cover includes integrated vacuum piping for extraction of particles and contaminants created during laser marking. Different accessories needed during the marking process may be clamped right-angled to the marking area on the base plates of the turntable. For positioning workpieces the housing includes at one side a set-up door with integrated laser protection glass. A switched power socket for external accessories is provided at the rear panel of the housing. The laser turntable may be connected to all different standardized voltage supplies. Cable installation between laser and laser safety housing is daisy chained and interlocked to ensure user safety during laser operation. The cover is color-coated in grey. |

| The cab laser typeplate marker transports and marks flat and inflexible workpieces with a thickness of up to 3 mm. Maximum size of the type plate is limited to 100 x 50 mm. The laser marker is most suitable for marking materials like aluminum, steel, copper, glass or plastics. The workpieces are conveyed in a fully automatic manner from the input magazine to the marking area and from there to an output magazine. If different sizes of workpieces are marked the magazines and slide-in unit must be interchanged. The logical order of the typeplates is kept during transport. Individual orders may be worked off and ejected in a separate output device. The handling system is controlled by an integrated Siemens S7 PLC. All transport and marking functions are controlled from the PLC operator control panel with integral digital display. The system requires r compressed air supply. The laser’s operational status is indicated by an indicator light. A separate machine table may be supplied, if required. |
|
| The industrial laser safety housing LSG100 enables to mark workpieces inside the marking area of the laser (110 x 110–180 x 180 mm) according to laser protection class 1. The laser cell eliminates any risk of laser radiation to the operator’s skin or eyes. The integrated focus finder used to adjust the focal length ensures a fast setup time for marking products of different sizes. Focus finder adjustment is controlled by means of a stepper motor driven Z-axis from two push buttons in the integrated operation panel or by a serial interface at the PC. Backlash free z-axis adjustment with ball bearing spindle and guide is ensured. The laser marking area may be internally illuminated for user observation. The laser cell includes integrated vacuum piping for extraction of particles and contaminants created during laser marking. Different accessories required during the marking process may be clamped right-angled to the marking area on the base plate. Furthermore, the working area is optionally air-conditioned. The housing is made out of solid sheet metal and may be moved either on rollers or placed on machine mounting pads. The machine’s substructure includes an integrated 19” PC. Moreover, a swinging arm provides support of keyboard and monitor for the operator’s ease and convenience. |

| The cab Laser type plate module THS4 provides to mark plates of steel, aluminum and plastics. The system’s handling is centralized in one separate unit and is therefore most suitable to be integrated into the cab laser safety housing LSG 100. The handling provides to work off inflexible type plates. They must be with a tolerance, be plane and free of burr. The handling provides an automatically tracked in- and output magazine. While the input stack undertakes an upwards motion the output, i.e. the destacking magazine moves downwards. The laser always marks the top level plate of the stack. After having been marked the plate is removed from stack by means of a vacuum gripper and forwarded to the output magazine by linear drive. Then, the stack is automatically moved up so that the level where the plates are marked remains the same height. Type plates with different thickness are automatically identified by the help of a sensor. The magazine’s side guides are adjusted by slotted holes and locked by cylinder head screws. 2 sides of the magazine remain fixed to maintain the angles’ alignment. The device thus has a fixed zero point in relation to the marking field of the laser system. For shifting the magazines one allen key is required and for modifying a time of maximum 10 minutes is needed. The software of the laser provides the logical control of the type plate marker. This software is included in standard delivery and contains appropriate routines. |

Fully-automatic system for ‘UTC’ laser marking of beverage closures. The system is characterised by its compactness and the option of integration into existing production lines. The closures are fed fully automatically and in the correct position depending on the feed system selected. Depending on the layout of the feed system, closures with a diameter of up to 50 mm can be marked on the inside, but also on the outer surface (top).
They are transported by means of a vacuum band where they undergo ‘On The Fly’ marking. This significantly speeds up the whole process, since no processing time is wasted handling the products. The result is an extremely high marking speed of up to 1500 parts per minute. This depends on the material being marked as well as the text or logo.
A piece of software specially developed for the application called ‘TP_mix’ allows the user to deal with all common variants of marking of ‘UTC closures’. These range from simple logos to the marking of codes (unique message). The user can generate all these variants with great ease and, more importantly, with the level of security (passwords, logging etc.) required for this type of production. |
