NSK manufactures a full range of metric and inch size miniature ball bearings with bore diameters of less than 10mm. These can be divided into two basic types, deep groove and angular contact ball bearings.
Deep groove ball bearings are the most common and NSK offer several variants for miniature sizes:
Standard type
Flanged outer ring type
Extended inner ring type
Synchro bearings with thick section outer rings
Extra-thin section type
In addition, NSK can also provide these bearings with shields or seals (contact or non-contact) on one or both sides of the bearing and pre-lubricated with grease.
For applications requiring higher speed, rigidity or axial load capacity, then miniature angular contact bearings are also available.

Deep Groove Ball Bearings Available as Single or Double Row type. Features include open, one or two shields, one or two seals and locating snap ring. Also available as Extra small, Miniature and Maximum types. The most popular type of bearing, it supports both radial load and a certain degree of axial load in both directions simultaneously.

NMB is the world’s largest manufacturer of miniature and instrument ball bearings, producing 150 million bearings per month.
Our miniature bearings range in sizes from .1181 to 1.000 inch O.D. (3mm to 26mm), and are available in inch and metric sizes. Standard inch and metric
series radial bearings carry moderate radial and thrust loads at low operating torque and provide high performance within small envelope designs. Stainless steel or chrome steel bearings are available with crown or ribbon type
metallic cages, as well as plastic crown type cages. Open or shielded bearings may be flanged or unflanged. Various types of seals may be specified depending upon the anticipated environment to which the bearings will be exposed.

Ball Bearings
Ball bearings are machinery components, which comprise an outer ring, inner ring, balls, retainers, shields and snap rings. Miniature bearings and small-sized ball bearings have up to 30mm in external diameter. Essential to high-precision rotary components, ball bearings determine rotational accuracy.
Bearing types include Radial Ball Bearings (Deep Groove and Angular Contact) and Thrust Ball Bearings. Radial bearings are designed to carry both radial and axial (thrust) loads, while thrust bearings are designed for pure thrust loads only. Many different configurations are available for ball bearings.
Miniature Bearings
Our miniature bearings range in sizes from .1181 to 1.000 inch O.D. (3mm to 26mm), and are available in inch and metric sizes.
Miniature bearings and instrument bearings are single row bearings. The construction of these miniature bearings enables them to carry moderate radial and thrust loads at low operating torque while providing high performance within a small envelope design. Miniature bearings and instrument bearings are typically available in both stainless steel for those applications requiring corrosion resistance and chrome for maximum fatigue life.
Minebea manufactures more than 8,500 different types of miniature and small-sized bearings, most of which have external diameters of 22mm or less.
