Reliable fire and system protection:
Differential current monitor type B with pre-warning function, measuring range from10 mA to 3 A.
Early detection of insulation faults can prevent failure of complete electrical plants. Fault current monitoring by measuring differential current is the ideal method for this application. The monitoring requirement for today’s supply systems get more and more complex. Electronic control of drives, switched power supplies and chargers or fluorescent lamps with electronic ballast units can create DC fault currents in the case of earth faults. Standard differential current monitors do not detect this type of faults.
Type B differential current monitor DOLD varimeter IP5883 detects DC and AC fault currents in grounded voltage systems. The measurement is done by an external current transformer.
Contrary to RCD units, IP5883 does not disconnect the mains immediately but signals the fault. The unit includes an easy to read LED bar indicating the fault current and LEDs for operation, pre-alarm and alarm. The measuring range is 10 mA to 3 A. Additional features: broken wire detection, adjustable pre-alarm and test function. This varimeter offers advanced information for specific and cost effective maintenance BEFORE the plant breaks down. |

The AC and pulsed DC sensitive residual current monitor RCMA420-D (Type A) from Bender is designed for fault and residual current monitoring in earthed power supply systems (TN and TT systems) where an alarm is to be activated in the event of a fault, but disconnection must be prevented. In addition, the device can be used to monitor the current in single conductors, such as PE conductors, N-PE connections and PE-PAS connections. Due to the use of measuring current transformers, the device is nearly independent of the load current and the nominal voltage of the system.
The response value can be adjusted in the range of 10...500 mA. When the prewarning level is reached (50% to 100% of the response value), an alarm message is generated. This information achieved sufficiently well in advance can avoid unexpected disconnections and costly downtimes.
Typical application fields are: Residual current monitoring in earthed two, three or four conductor systems; construction site equipment; current monitoring of single conductors de-energized under normal conditions; socket-outlet circuits for devices which are operated unattended for a long time and which may not fail; alarm systems; safety devices. |

The RCMS system consists of one or several RCMS460-D / -L or RCMS490-D / -L residual current evaluators, which are able to detect and evaluate fault, residual and operating currents in earthed power supplies via the associated measuring current transformers. The maximum voltage of the system to be monitored depends on the nominal insulation voltage of the measuring current transformers used in case of busbar systems, or on the cables or conductors that are routed through.
Closed W...AB series measuring current transformers are required to measure AC /DC sensitive residual currents (0...2000 Hz). Six W...AB series measuring current transformers require one AN420 power supply unit. W... (closed), WR... (rectangular) and WS... (split-core) series measuring current transformers are used for alternating and pulsating currents (42...2000 Hz).
The measuring current transformer series can be used in any combination with the measuring channels of the evaluators. Each RCMS460-D / -L and RCMS490-D / -L utilizes 12 measuring channels. Up to 90 RCMS evaluators can be connected via a BMS bus (RS-485 interface with BMS protocol), thereby up to 1080 measuring channels (sub-circuits) can be monitored.
If this product is to be used for personnel, fire or plant protection, the frequency response can be set accordingly. The measured currents can be analyzed for harmonics.

Small and practical radiation monitors worn directly on the body are used for personal safety in strong electromagnetic fields. Visual and acoustic warning signals alert the user when threshold values are exceeded, for example during service work on transmitting equipment for radio relay, satellite and broadcast communications as well as radar and telecommunication facilities.
RadMan has been designed for daily use, not just as a warning and monitoring device, but also for taking quick measurements of EMF levels present in the immediate environment and detecting leaks in antenna cables.
The sensors are integrated in an orthogonal pattern, which allows them to measure electrical fields (up to 40 GHz) and magnetic fields (up to 1GHz) separately and independently of direction. This makes it simple and quick to test the EMF situation in the workplace at any time. RadMan is also an excellent tool for finding leaks in cables and power supplies for antenna connections.
Monitors in the RadMan range are also available as an "XT" version with a long-term data memory for monitoring and recording the minimum, maximum and average radiation levels. With the help of analysis software it is also possible to evaluate the results as easy-to-read graphics or tables. |

The freely programmable, self-monitoring limit monitors made by J. Dittrich Elektronic evaluate the signals measured by the connected measuring systems (e.g. for toxic or explosive gases, oxygen, carbon dioxide, temperature) and trigger an alarm or other subsequent functions when the values rise above or fall below a certain limit value.
An alphanumeric display constantly shows the measured values.
Different measuring systems can be connected to a limit monitor via 4-20 mA interfaces; altogether at most 2 measuring systems with type GWZ-S2, 4 with type GWZ-S4 and 6 with type GWZ-S6.
Output of the signals
The limit monitor outputs its signals via 4 relays:
Two limit indicating relays signal when the values rise above or fall below the limit values; hence, they can, for example, trigger a preliminary or main alarm visually or acoustically or switch a ventilator on and off.
A horn relay is provided additionally for controlling the horn.
Since the limit monitor checks itself for any cable breaks, short-circuits and power failure, the alarm relay system indicates any malfunctions in the device.

Vibra-Metrics built the patented Sensor Highway (Pat.# 5,255,565) to provide plant managers with a low-cost, modular solution for achieving advanced on-line monitoring of critical equipment parameters such as vibration, temperature, pressure, and almost any other parameter. It also holds the key to success: better Return on Investment. Companies must get substantial benefit from predictive maintenance (PdM) cost outlays, especially the expenditures for equipment monitoring. The Vibra-Metrics' expandable Sensor Highway System offers advantages over traditional predictive maintenance programs such as increased data collection frequency, more repeatable/accurate data, easier trending analysis, and more efficient use of your PdM Staff.
The bottom line: a PdM system like Sensor Highway can return up to five time the investment in a short period of time. |

TopMessage and TopLab are similar devices and differ only in construction design. TopMessage is designed as a rail mounted device. Signals are connected via clamps.
Message devices can be easily integrated into existing company networks via its Ethernet interface. This means anybody within the network can have access to measurement data using their existing PCs.
Delphin's modular Message devices enables the acquisition of any physical values (e.g. temperatures, pressures, flows, vibration data). Measurement values are stored in the devices already scaled and lineated (e.g. bar, liter/sec, m/min, °C etc.). The scaling of thermocouples and RTD sensors are pre-configured.
A device comprises of 1 or 2 I/O modules which can be combined in any way required. Extension devices can be connected to the basic device, each also having 2 I/O modules. This means Message devices are suitable for both small and large applications.
Each analog input can be separately connected with RTD, thermocouple, volt or 20 mA signals. Expensive measuring transducers are no longer required and potential isolation means there is no need for isolating amplifiers. All I/O module analog inputs are set up as differential inputs. |
