HAM offers a full range of PCD facemills from diameter 50 mm to 315 mm in 1D, 2D, & 3D designs utilizing both inserts and cartridges. We also offer a high-density version that doubles the effective amount of cutting teeth to further increase productivity. Another innovative design is the chip-breaker PCD insert that is offered for our 2D cutter design. The chip-breaker inserts allow for a heavier cut with very good chip control in materials that are more difficult to manage chips.
Maximum Productivity
* highest possible efficiency due to maximum number of teeth
* PCD-cutting insert guarantees highest precision and optimal surface quality
* considerably higher tool life is achieved compared to conventional cutter systems
* the cutting adjustment is optimised and simplified by edgewise (sidewise) fine adjustment

Applications
PCD tools used for trimming circuit boards have reduced part waste, improved quality and decreased line downtime.
The automotive industry takes full advantage of RobbJack PCDs in machining silicon aluminum transmissions. Our unique “through-tool-coolant” PCD end mills work round-the-clock with no tool change downtime.
The aerospace industry has discovered the value of PCD’s long life in the manufacture of aircraft components made of carbon-fiber composites.
At RobbJack, we’ve made it easier than ever to try PCD tools. Our line of in-stock PCD end mills is available in singles, at prices normally only offered in quantity.
We make PCD tools in diameters from 3/32" to 2", and LOCs and OALs in all sizes – stub, standard and extra length, in square end, corner radii and ball end. Three-flute tools are available for certain applications. We also make tapers, form tools and tools with “through-tool coolant.” If you don’t see or are not sure what you need call us – we can help.

SHANK TYPE CUTTERS
These are primarily designed for cutting internal gears, splines and serrations, both spur and helical. May also be designed for externals if required. These cutters are full form generated however small the pitch circle diameter (PCD) although strength of the cutter produced is the limiting factor. The strength and rigidity of shank type cutters is greatly improved by the Dathan ribbing method and is especially advised for those of small PCD.
HUB TYPE CUTTERS
Dathan hub type cutters are designed for cutting internal components where maximum rigidity is required. Hub type cutters are recommended for cutting long face widths or for coarse pitches.
In general terms, any tooth form, face width or number of teeth that is available on a shank cutter, can be manufactured with a hub type fitting. Note: these cutters screw directly onto the spindle of the machine therefore rely on the spindle being in a good true state.
