Circuit Breaker and Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor
The Siemens circuit breaker and transient voltage surge suppressor is comprised of a highly effective TVSS module integrated with (2) 1-pole circuit breakers. This device incorporates the robust features of our secondary circuit breaker surge arrester with a lower clamping voltage ratings.
Two red LED indicator lights are provided to show that surge protection is provided for all circuits connected to the panelboard. As a Siemens exclusive feature, the device notifies the owner of loss of surge protection by tripping one or both of the circuit breakers. These breakers should be used for circuit protection of frequently used household or facility circuits because the lights and devices connected to these circuits provide an effective indication that surge protection is being provided.

Description
Special technical features of dead-tank design. The distinguishing feature of dead-tank technology is that the interrupter chamber is accommodated in an earthed metal housing. With this arrangement the SF6 gas filling insulates the high voltage live parts of the contact assembly from the housing. Outdoor bushings connect the interrupter chamber with the high-voltage terminals.

Siemens high-voltage circuit-breakers offer the optimum technical and economical solution for every requirement. Depending on the application and the voltage level, they are equipped with the following combinations of arc quenching principle and operating mechanism:
* Self-compression principle with stored energy spring mechanism
* Puffertype with hydraulic mechanism
All the live- and dead-tank circuit-breakers, as well as the gas-insulated switchgear (GIS), are equipped with the same components. Longevity, reliability and highest availability in all climate zones in the world distinguish Siemens high-voltage circuit-breakers from all others.

Description
Special technical features of live-tank design: On live-tank circuit-breakers, the interrupter chamber is arranged in the insulator which can be either porcelain or of a composite material, and is at high potential; with the voltage level determining the length of the insulators for the interrupter chamber and the insulator column.

7PA30 single phase is for the supervision of the trip circuit of a circuit breaker with one trip coil. While 7PA30 three phase is for the supervision of the trip circuit of a circuit breaker with three selective trip coils.
The trip circuit wiring is supervised from the positive supply to the negative supply whilst the circuit breaker is open or closed.
The design, quality and rugged construction of the relay make it suitable for applications requiring high levels of reliability/dependability.
The high degree of protection guarantees reliable operation over a wide temperature range, even under extreme environmental conditions. The relay has been tested in accordance with IEC, EN and IEEE standards. The relay is CE marked.
The supervision current is always less than 1,4mA thus avoiding unwanted operation of the trip coil. Correct operation is shown via a green LED.
