RAM DRIVE WITH RACK AND PINION SYSTEM
The natural evolution of technology has allowed conceiving these heavy duty slotting machines with 4 CN-axes.
A very innovative solution is the CN system on the axis of ram movement (axis Z) on models 500E, 500EA and 500EA(850).
The CN system on the 4th cutting axis is offering many considerable advantages:
- Drastic reduction of setting time;
- Significant improvement in quality of cutting motion. In fact the Brushless motor with Driver is transmitting a continuous motion with constant torque from beginning to end of cutting cycle;
- Minor wear of the tools, as consequence of the more regular cutting motion in comparison with the conventional slotting machine with Rod system for ram drive.

The new model of slotting machine "type 4AC" is the outcome of our long years as leading manufacturers of Slotting Machines, which has allowed us to widen the range of the already known machines with 1, 2, 3 electronic axes.
The 4 axes slotting machine has been conceived and carried out in order to reduce considerably tooling times, to execute special machining and to increase the power and the quality of slot cutting.
The new 4AC version together with our tools production (see tools catalogue) will optimize slot execution and will make the slotting machine an essential and much appreciated machine tool in every workshop.

RAM DRIVE WITH ROD SYSTEM
The great versatility and precision of the models 500 and 500A are the outgrowth of the long experience of our Technicians and the observance of the suggestions of our most exacting Customers.
All sliding surfaces are covered by antifriction material (PTFE), ground and scraped.
The tables are provided with a wide central through hole for machining long shafts.
Each CN-axis is driven by BRUSHLESS motor with DRIVER; both are controlled by CN system.
The CN system allows the operator to easily program the most complicated job.

The worktables are sliding on ground recirculating ball screws.
The tables are provided with a wide central through hole for machining long shafts.

The made out programs with the relevant Zero-piece can be stored and recalled later on.

C.A.M.S. Srl, the Slotting Specialist, has created and patented a new range of Slotting Tools to meet the most demanding Customers' requirements.
The new slotting tools offer numerous advantages: the mounting system of the Cutting tool is quick and self-centering by the pin provided. On demand, the sturdy toolholder can be supplied with boring for the flow of cooling fluid.
The Cutting tools are manufactured in high-grade sintered HSS material and, on request, with latest generation linings: Tin - TiCN - TiAlN (specific for every type of material).
Cutting tools from 8 to 45mm with tolerance H7 and D10 are in store, but we can also manufacture tools with special geometries and tolerances according to Customers' requirements.
With a special dedication we have also manufactured shaped cutting tools for power splined coupling:
