High machining power and high working accuracy require additional support for many work pieces, due to their shape and length, in the form of a revolving lathe centre. A functional, revolving lathe centre/sleeve is required on the tailstock side as a torque transmitted chuck or face carrier. As the sole manufacturer, Röhm offers a complete sleeve range with different speeds and load values. Röhm offers high-quality constant face carriers for the efficient turning of workpieces. They were developed according to the modular principle, so the universal exchange of carrier disks and centring points is possible.

With modern machines operating at greater speeds, feeds and general load carrying capabilities, the demand for top quality workholding devices has never been greater.
Craftsman rotating centres have been specifically designed for use on modern CNC machines. After careful research, the best and most desirable features have been built-in so that an apparent small range will be more than adequate for most purposes. High precision, high load-carrying capacity and long life can be assured.
The centres offer several benefits including low profile bodies for increased tool accessibility, the highest precisional accuracy – to 0.003mm, and high running speeds up to 8000 rpm. The pre-loaded ultra-precision, angular contact bearings maintain running accuracy and give superior finishes and improved productivity.

Art.178: Live center with bigger head suitable for CNC lathes and centre lathes, available in Morse Taper 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, e 6 and with standard center, extended, female and in Widia.
This Live center is stable and precise made of special hardened, cemented and rectified steel, with shaft constructed in steel by hardened tools, and therefore it can be sharpened several times.
The great rear length of the shaft grants a working without vibrations.

The C4T live center is commonly used in high-speed, high-volume, production applications where cycle times and part accuracies are crucial. The C4T live center is designed to handle the demands of high RPM turning while maintaining accuracy and finish. The labyrinth seal provides superior protection while eliminating the weaknesses associated with traditional lip seals.

Live centers – Dead centers – Facedrivers - Workholding – Machine tools
Ladner sells ROTOR live centers, dead centers and facedrivers, which are made in Switzerland and provide excellent value for money.
ROTOR is recognized as top of the line live centres for conventional or CNC controlled lathes and grinding machines.
The robust and precise products are sealed against chips and coolant intrusion and designed for heavy duty service with continuous lubrication.
The live-centers are manufactured in the following sizes:
• Morse Tapers no. 1 to 7
• Various metric tapers
The live centres can be equipped with a visual pressure indicator in the form of colour bands.
ROTOR Facedrivers are available in 5 sizes with chuck capacities from 24 to 150 mm and are available with cylindrical centre mount or morse taper. The morse taper centers have a support and forcing nut.
The driving pins are self-aligning and adjust automatically to the workpiece which does not require to have been cut to an exact right angle.
To complement the workholding range of live centers and facedrivers, Ladner also sells dead Centers and special centers
