Application:
Threaded insert with bores is a self-tapping fastener for the creation of wear-free, vibration-resistant screw joints with high loading capacity in materials with low shearing strength. It is suitable for installation in the following materials: Aluminum and aluminum alloys; magnesium alloys; Duroplastics, thermoplastics(with the exception of rubber-soft thermoplastics < 100 Shore A).
The head serves as a support for electrical contacts, for simultaneous fixture of several parts; when stress is applied against the head, the pull-through force is significantly increased

The Foamsert is a special version of the Trisert and has a very coarse truncated external thread form. Like the Trisert it has three equidistant cutting flutes over the length of the external form and it is this unique combination that makes the Foamsert ideally suited for use in structural foam materials, laminated chipboards, medium density fibre board and certain types of glass reinforced plastics.
Continuous product development has led to a headed version of the Foamsert providing all the benefits of the headed Trisert in an expanded range of materials. This innovative new design adds a significant degree of versatility to the existing inserts for plastics. Both the Double Ended and Reduced Headed versions are installed using a reversible driving mechanism.

The Tappex Trisert range of brass self-tapping inserts includes three primary designs: Double Ended, Reduced Headed, and Regular Headed variants, to solve most application problems in thermoset and thermoplastic grades including the latest engineering plastic alloys. Partial Profile
Partial profile threading inserts are available in two types with thread angles of 60° and 55°.

The partial profile inserts cut without machining the crest of the thread. The same insert can be used for a range of different thread pitches.

This toolholder, for use with Seco Tools' range of Snap-Tap® thread turning inserts, features the Anti-Twist™ insert locking system to provide incredibly secure insert holding. The Anti-Twist system has two significant design features.

The hole is drilled using a commercially available standard drill bit.
Then, insatallation is made with a manual or an automatic special tap for fitting wire thread insert.
