Mode of Operation:
The cam-controlled TAKTOMAT lengthwise transfer system, series LF, is designed for applications with linear workpiece flow and high stroke numbers, while maintaining consistently precise positional accuracy. The highly-exact aluminum alloy chain links are lead over track rollers on hardened, ground track ways. The shock and jerk-free drive is realised via a TAKTOMAT cam indexing table. Hardened drive step wheels with semi-circular notches on the circumference transfer the movement
free of play to the chain links. At the other end, the direction change of the chain links is realised via fixed, hardened cams with corrected geometry to balance the polygon effect. The construction of the lengthwise transfer system is based on a building block principle: the constant drive and switching stations can be extended by insert components,
depending on the required number of chain links and processing stations.

Transfer lines are suitable for high volume production. If there are requirements for limited part flexibility, a shorter cycle time and if space is an issue, then these requirements can be met. Transfer lines are also indispensible for heavy-duty metal cutting or if high precision machining has to be performed.
The individual machining sequences are divided into several stations arranged in one line (sequential) and connected with a rigid transport system. The single stations can only perform one machining operation as previously defined. The downtime of one station causes the whole line to come to a halt and thus the output goes down to zero.
Transfer lines systems are constructed from modular units. This design ensures that the Transfer lines can be installed quickly in their final position. The individual stations are so-called "hook" stations, and this enables the line to be started up one station at a time.

Transfer SpeedFeeder has been developed especially for automatization of presses with multi-tool sets. Easy to operate with a hand-held terminal and AP&T's software LOGOS. Very high stiffness is reached with parallel motion of motors, this gives possibility to use high accelerations during clamping and lift motion.

Our transfer systems are fee-programmable which means that the positions and the displacement courses of the gripper rails (closing, lifting and transport) can be determined by the program within the limits of the technical data. According to the application or the specification the individual servodrives are synchronised either to each other or to the press run.

The Leanmaster, the economic solution for filling tablet containers, was designed to permit the integration of various functions such as deburring and de-dusting, metal detection and in-process control. The tablets are discharged into their containers by vertically and horizontally pivoting conveyor belts. The fully automatic discharge can use up to 99 containers, which can, for instance, allow fast and easy removal on pallets. The Leanmaster is operated through the familiar user interface at the press terminal.

AP&T has several production solutions for customers who require large volumes and details that require multiple operations.
This type of production solution is well suited for running cut blanks, circular as well as square, or for coil feeding directly into the press.
The tool set in this plant consist of several tools and tool changes are easily carried out through the long side of the press.
The hydraulic press runs continuously and has robust guidings for the best possible absorption of deflection forces.
The transfer feeder is especially designed for press automation with tool sets in multiple steps. The machine has three axes and is mounted directly on the press frame. The transfer feeder rails, where the gripper fingers are mounted, are easily exchanged when running different products.
The plant is equipped with an operator's terminal for optimal control and supervision of the entire press line. This terminal controls and supervises all machines in the line.
