Well-being, productivity and concentration are all adversely affected if we get too warm or cold. Dressing correctlystarts by choosing the appropriate underwear. Helly Hansen Workwear has developed the largest and best collection of workwear underwear to keep you dry, warm and comfortable in all conditions.
When you are physically active your body produces heat and moisture. If your body becomes too hot, it feels uncomfortable and your ability to concentrate is impaired. At the same time, if you perspire and your underwear becomes wet, the risk of excessive heat loss is high. So during varied activities in cold conditions you are likely to become too warm and then too cold, depending on the intensity of activity.
This also happens in summer when temperatures are higher. Heat and perspiration can often feel uncomfortable and irritating. Reduced comfort at work will affect your well-being and efficiency. At the same time we know that your ability to concentrate is impaired even by small changes in body temperature. Keeping comfortable, warm and dry is therefore also important for safety reasons.
For several decades Helly Hansen Workwear has developed underwear for extreme sports and expeditions. Based on this experience we have launched Helly Hansen Bodywear, a unique workwear underwear collection. Helly Hansen Bodywear is made from polypropylene and absorbs no moisture, provides excellent ventilation and pushes perspiration away from the body. As a result you avoid cooling down during breaks or periods of lower work intensity.

Contact with open fire, hot surfaces or radiant heat is a reality in many workplaces. In industry, on construction sites and in many other trades it is important to protect yourself and your employees against these threats. HH Workwear includes an extensive collection of flame retardant garments.
Helly Hansen Workwear's flame retardant clothing is approved for use in environments where there is a risk of incidental contact with open flames or when there is a danger of short term exposure to strong radiant heat. The products should be used with other flame retardant clothing. Please contact us for guidance, to ensure you choose the right flame retardant clothes for your needs.
The fabric in the flame retardant base layer is 50% flame resistant Lenzing® viscose and 50% wool, which provides insulation as well as flame resistance. The flame retardant viscose fibres have been treated with a mixture of phosphorus and sulphate. The flame retarding treatment is permanent and effective, even after the garments have been repeatedly washed. The combination of wool and viscose provides good insulation properties and a high level of comfort. Flame retardant fibre pile is made of 80% Zirpro®-processed flame retardant wool and 20% flame retardant Trevira SEC®. This process ensures permanent and effective protection. All zips, cuffs, etc, are also made in flame retardant materials. Helly Hansen flame retardant fibre pile has been approved and listed by NATO.
