50 kHz – 8.5 GHz | 2650A series B&K Precision

B&K Precision's new handheld spectrum analyzers consist of three models: Model 2650A with a frequency range of 50 kHz to 3.3 GHz, the 2652A, identical to the 2650A but with a tracking generator added, and the 2658A with a frequency range of 50 kHz to 8.5 GHz. With a compact size of 6.38"W x 2.80"H x 10.43"D, a light weight of only 4 pounds (1.8 kg) and an extended battery life of 4 hours, the 2650A series of Handheld Spectrum Analyzers are the most versatile portable solution for field use.

B&K Precision has incorporated many customer suggestions in developing this new, enhanced family of products. Numerous improvements include a larger color LCD with increased resolution, a longer battery life of up to 4 hours with an easy-to-replace Li-Ion battery, a lower average noise level of -127 dBm, a significant increase in RF input damage level and an addition of a USB interface for PC connectivity. Additionally, new features such external trigger capability for zero span measurements and a USB host interface for flash drives were added.

User benefits of these enhancements are increased flexibility in displaying a large variety of signals, ability to detect smaller signals, improved protection of RF input against excessive RF signals and added convenience for field use.

Key features of the 2650A series include frequency coverage up to 8.5 GHz, built-in tracking generator (Model 2652A), channel/adjacent channel power, occupied bandwidth, electric and magnetic field strength measurement functions, PC software for remote control and documentation of measurement results, convenient Auto Tune function and SCPI-like remote control commands.
