BRUSH Transformers produce a comprehensive range of certified flameproof transformers, switchgear and low voltage protection chambers. The flameproof range have been in production for over forty years and are designed in accordance with British and European Standards governing Flameproof Enclosures of Electrical Apparatus.

The switchgear range are of a modular design and consist of a totally enclosed flameproof housing, incorporating a sulphur hexafluoride (SF6) gas filled circuit breaker, suitable for use on service voltages up to 12kV, 400 amps, with a fault breaking capacity of 13kA.

These circuit breakers are available as individual free-standing units to form either single or multi-panel switchboards, with single or double isolation chambers, or are suitable for transformer mounting to form a complete substation, depending on the desired application.
