Epsilon Technology

High temperature extensometer
max. 1200 °C Epsilon Technology

Designed for use with furnaces and induction heating systems, these extensometers use Epsilon's exclusive self-supporting design. A wide range of options cover most testing applications.

Model 3448 High Temperature Axial Extensometer - Designed for use with furnace and induction heating systems, these extensometers use Epsilon's exclusive self-supporting design. The combination of radiant heat shields and convection cooling fins allow this model to be used at specimen temperatures up to 1200°C (2200°F).

Model 3548 Furnace Axial Extensometer - High temperature extensometer for use in side cut-out, split type materials testing furnaces. Water cooled and furnace bracket mounted, there are options for use to 1200°C (2200°F) or 1600°C (2900°F).

Model 3648 High Temperature Capacitive Axial Extensometer - High temperature extensometers for use in split type materials testing furnaces or with induction heating; these units feature very low specimen contact force and are available in low strain ranges. Water cooled and mounted to a slide bracket, they are for use to 1200°C (2200°F). The high temperature option allows use to 1600°C (2900°F). The gage length for this unit can be set prior to mounting on the specimen, which allows mounting on specimens after they are heated to the test temperature.

Model 3555 High Temperature Un-cooled Extensometer - For use in environmental chambers where the entire extensometer must be exposed to heat. May be used to 540°C (1000°F) without any cooling.
