The quite new concept GWC unit provides three main functionalities: programmable logic controller (PLC), motion controller and gateway. As PLC and motion controller it permits the user to locally controll a process through fieldbus, serial links and I/Os and executing an user defined program. Working as bus gateway it allows the data exchanging among various automation field busses: CANOpen, DeviceNet ProfiBus, ModeBus working.
