Rotary table assembly machine

To handle the automatic assembly of valves on gas ramps (of various kinds-between 1 and 4 valves) of gas barbecue cookers by means of two screws on a metal cradle. The solution involves manual component loading, automatic assembly, testing and manual unloading.Ensure both that assembly is performed according to set torque parameters and that the resulting ramp is gas tight (and hence that the gaskets of the assembled valves provide a perfect seal) through final testing.
ASSEMBLY
Metal cradles and screws are fed automatically with high production rates (by adding a linear vibratory feeder to feed the metal stands straight after the bowl feeder);
* The component is positioned so that it "straddles" the ramp on top of the valve by means of the collet installed on the slide, which thus acts as a pick and place device;
* Two screws are tightened on the components through two 15MC5 nutrunner motors with air shut-off, installed on a single dual-movement slide featuring an offset device (centre-to-centre distance between the two screws is tight:14 mm)
* Torque is checked by means of the torque transducer fitted on the motors, while correct screw depth is checked by means of a depth sensor, with additional sensors checking that at the end of the tightening process, the cradle is mounted perfectly horizontally with respect to the valve. Motors and slide are installed on an electric axis (driven by a brushless motor) that runs horizontally along the ramp.
FINAL TESTING
Ramp gas tightness is tested and the gaskets of the assembled valves are checked to ensure they provide a perfect seal. An instrument injects air into the ramp to check that there are no micro-leaks.
