Apart from the electrically operating VISIPORT models, consistent developments have also been made with other forms of drive. The DiscAir models now available are operated with compressed air which is available at every machine or in every workshop. Commissioning is possible by simple connection of the VISIPORT DiscAir to the compressed air supply without laying expensive electric cables. It is fastened similarly to the electrical VISIPORT with the aid of the simple bonding technique directly onto the machine window.
The air consumption is on average 1.56m³/h and thus between 35% and 50% below all comparable models on the market. Due to its design and drive, the DiscAir models have a louder operating noise than the very quiet electrical VISIPORT. Thanks to a flawlessly designed air circulation system as well as highly precise manufacturing processes, our DiscAir models are the lowest-noise rotating windows (between 8 and 12 dB quieter) and are the sole units which lie clearly below the legal directives. Thus no difference can be discerned compared with the running noises of the machine.
The airoutlet has been designed so that it acts supportively as protective belt against coolant and chip accumulation. The speed of the air-driven VISIPORT of 2,500 to 4,5000 rpm is above the electrical versions. The VISIPORT DiscAir models round off the VISIPORT series to the bottom end and represent an excellent offer with regard to their price-performance ratio. They enable every CNC machine operator to adopt the rotating window technology at a price which lies considerably below that of the electrical models.
