Changing over the polarity of the motor voltage switches from full to partial cut (in any order). In the partial-cut mode, a 2 mm strip in the centre of the paper remains uncut. The cut is initiated by an external switching contact or a microprocessor. Cutters are equipped with manual paper-jam recovery to free up the paper flow.
