The magnetic measurement system includes a sensor an electronic converter and a magnetic tape. The sensor head detects the position as it is moved over the magnetic tape.
Magnetic rings are also available for rotary motion as alternative to linear magnetic tape. Different shapes, dimensions and custom-made versions are available.
The magnetic rings can be completely integrated on customer machine; they are available for diameter up to 500 mm and they can be mounted with any Lika sensor.
The measuring system is non-contacting and therefore wear-free.
Application areas are woodworking machines and sheet metal machines.

Low application cost is one of the system’s advantages. Moreover the system is protected against contamination and works even with strong vibrations, or in humid or dirty environment.
