Description

Designed for long life cycles and harsh environments One probe for two sensitivities (8 and 4mV/um) Frequency range: 0…2kHz Built-in linearization electronic Active temperature compensation Built-in digital interface for calibration and configuration Optional configuration kit for setting and calibrationnts The PPT "Eagle" family is a new generation of smart proximity probes used for non-contact measurement of vibration and shaft position. The sensor is designed with integrated linearization electronics to ensure excellent linearity and active temperature compensation. The integrated 750 kHz oscillator ensures a measurement with minimal magnetic run out effect. The integrated sensor head is shock resistant. The sealed body is oil and water resistant on both sides of the sensor. Model PPT-280 can be used for measurements between 0.2 mm and 2.2 mm or 0.2 mm and 4.2 mm. Its output voltage is directly proportional to the measured distance between the metal target and the sensor tip. The sensor can be supplied with -24V or +24V depending on the configuration or order code. PPT-380 and -480 models complete the "Eagle" product range. PPT-380 is designed with a Modbus interface for digital communication of vibration parameters such as "pkpk" or "gap" and has a digital output for alarms. The PPT-480 converts vibration parameters (pkpk or gap) into a scalable 4...20mA analog output. All Eagle models can be configured using an optional configuration kit: PPT-990 is a kit that includes software, cable and USB adapter. It allows measurement range, power supply (+24V or -24V), and probe target materials to be configured and recalibrated in the field.
